  • Master Sword textured in substance and rendered in Unreal. Level concept idea was from A Link to the Past. I added weathering to the sword to give it a sense of realism.
    Assets from Evermotion, Unreal Marketplace and Epic Games.
    Sword created by David Lima which can be found here: grabcad.com/li... It is in Cad file so you will you need to convert the file as I did.

      The internet is your tutor, sure the information can be vast and imprecise but your determination shall be your ruler. I my self just started learning Unity and android programming at the beginning of this year... I feel My Unity related knowledge is growing quite quickly but for the first few weeks I felt entirely dismayed thinking I need to know so much...soo little time... an overwhelming feeling indeed. But! Part by part I'm drawing nearer to my goal of understanding...
      Start but never stop, fail, sure but always try.

    Why you don't using Unity engine anymore? UE4 better for speed level design? Anyway your works is awesome!

    So a quick question, I'm super new to Substance and find the painting difficult. What tool did you use at the start of the video to easily colour in the Master Sword?
    Also absolutely loved the video! I'm jealous of your abilities :p

    • @Maverick99
      @Maverick99  7 років тому

      Used to UV fill or Polygon tool. You can use youtube speed settting to slow down the video. It is super easy to do.

    Hey Maverick,
    Just wondering what the technique/asset type is for the vines when you're curling it around the sword. I've never seen something like that done in Unreal and would like to try it in my own projects. Any clues?
    Thanks!

    sir,how to convert the model

  • @riachu4thunder
    @riachu4thunder 7 років тому

    Quick Question
    In Unreal Engine, when you overlap objects to make a level, does unreal hide the 'insides' of those overlapping objects or does this still take up as much 'rendering' power as if they weren't overlapping? I'm talking about the rocks you used to create the outskirts of the 'forest' to begin with

    • @itsagollywog
      @itsagollywog 7 років тому

      Farhad Chamo it still renders the inside polys. the way maverick does his level design videos is more "make everything as pretty as possible" then actually optimizing everything. still looks impressive though

    Hi everyone,
    I have Evermotion Archmodels for UE vol 4 pack. In this pack there are a lot of trees. I couldn't import those trees manually and I copied them to my project folder on windows. My problem is i cant see their materials and textures when i put them to my scene...
