This song is the happiest song I have heard from danheim so far , and it is giving some feeling I've never felt before like some ancient ,tribal stuff !

I’m Russian and I really like every Scandinavian vikings music, especially, Danheim Folkvangr! Hello to Norwegian, Swedish, Danish and other vikings from Russian vikings, SCOLL!!! This music make me so peaceful, happy and calm🙏
Whenever I listen to Danheim it's like my entire attitude and personality changes. It's able to affect me in ways I never thought were possible. It may sound stupid, but I honestly feel different when listening to this. I feel a deep connection to my ancestors.
We supposedly do have acenstral memory. Several things I was experiencing over several decades convinced me that I was German or Scandinavian even though that's not the information my family had. When I hung out with the SCA I had a herald work backward to 1500s in my genaeology and found out that I am either German/Scandi or more likely, of Norweigan or Danish ancestry and my ancestor had traveled "through" Germany on the way to settling in Scotland before marrying into a Scots-Italian family. I'm moving to Europe soon to pursue the remainder of the mystery and records. I was introduced to Native American drumming (Algonquin) and knew immediately that I recognized the feeling of it without ever having heard it before. Later I heard Kulning and Viking drums and began to understand that I needed to leave my country, which I'd known since 1998 when I gave up news reporting for fiction writing. Took a while and being set back in schedule bc of Covid but I'll get there
@hola yes they do. So did the movie. The thing about games is it may or may not be based on actual research, and being a journalist although I don't report on hard news anymore, rather entertainment news, I still don't consider a game a source of accurate research. A game is not experiential proof or citation of scientific study, and it was the scientific study data that I was referring to in my comment.
For those of you interested in some mythology. When the souls of Asatro, the Norse religion, die in combat, half of the souls are taken to Odin in Valhalla and the other half is taken to Fólkvangr, the great meadow ruled by Freyja.
This song reminds me of days spent in the mountains near Røros, in the part of Norway where I live. Noting but the gentle hymn of the Wind and a feeling of satisfaction.
I've never heard anything like this before, it is a very very beautiful mix between ancient folk and modern music, it just feels so positive, happy, proud and encouraging. Absolutely beautiful piece💕💖
*As you walk between mountains, forests and open fields, you stop briefly and take a quick look behind your back. You see people you love following you and feel that all of you can crush mountains. You smile and continue knowing that this feels right*
Whenever I hear this song I think back to my backpack vacation through Norway. Climbing a mountain in Jotunheimen National Park and looking out over the pure beauty of nature from the peak. Beautiful song.
I heard this song over and over again when I was in the Fjords of Chile crossing many lakes by ferries and since then whenever I Listen to it again I am right back in the Fjords :D
Um no, this is all done with traditional percussion drums and Tagelharp. Yes there are edits here and there but the entire instrumentation is traditional, I should know cause I use the same instruments daily for prayers to Óðinn (god of magic and wisdom) and his son Viðar (god of nature and trees)
I absolutely love Danheim's music. However, this song right here...there is something about it that's completely different. The beat, the vocals, the hurdy-gurdy(I'm assuming don't hate me if I'm wrong hhh), every single last instrument all in unison. It's beautiful, energetic but somehow nostalgic at the same time. As much as I love your other songs, ser, this one will always be my favorite.
First heard it on an Asha Logos documentary, and the idiot forgot to accredit the backing soundtrack.... took me almost a year to learn who did it, and it was almost entirely by accident as well. When it's meant to be, your mind's outcry for it silences most other things until you find it.
