I was so close to buying the Sigma 16mm f1.4 a little over a year ago (I found it used, by the time I decided to do it, it was sold), fast forward to. a little over a month ago and I found the SIRUI 16mm with the 75mm f1.2 set, used, for less than the Sigma lens alone. I immediately pulled the trigger and bought them - after this video, I am glad I did! Added bonus, I fell in love with the 75mm f1.2 totally by accident! Love these lenses!
Yes, its amazing to see the difference in todays lens selection. There was a time where Sigma remain king with the lens but today, there is just too much competition. After doing this review I wonder, why don't Sigma reupdate such an old lens or lower the price tag. Its almost a decade old but sadly they are still living in the past. Sirui is very competitive and they are making their way in the market with these outstanding price to lens performance. Its kind of hard not to bring them into the conversation. I hope you enjoy your lens ~!
