Turtle beach mic not working for Windows 10 [FIXED]

- Had an issue with the mic not working on my Turtle Beach recon 200 headset. It works fine while hooked up to the controller of my Xbox but would not work while using on my laptop. I found a fix that worked for me. Hopefully this video helps others in fixing this issue.
It's always the lwoer quality last minute videos that save me, thanks a lot.

thank you for the info, really helped me out. was trying to figure out why my mic went back to the laptop mic and not my headset but after watching your video i was able to get it back to my headset.
Good stuff, I had to go back to enable the built-in microphone for all of this to work but thank you! My headset mic is now detected and working!

Another solution is to right click on microphone, properties, levels, and increase it to max. It may not work for you, but it did for me

Hey brother really appreciate it. For anyone who is curious, uninstalling my drivers worked to resolve a similar issue with a wireless Turtle Beach headset as well, if anyone is having that problem.

Nope. The realtek audio console doesn't show up when I reboot.
I followed all the steps hoping this would work, since nothing else did. But my mic still isn't showing up in any of the control panels. It's just listing them as straight up headphones.... reinstalled realtek and followed your video steps but my mic just isn't listed.
I don't have this issue with my laptop or ps4 so I really didn't want to replace my headset. But It looks like I might have to.

You're gonna have to download the software.
This sounds Dumb but for PC users!!! Make sure you give permission for apps to use microphone.. Hours spent trying to get it to work.. FYI Windows dosent give you any error message etc about Mic settings being turn off like your phone.. It just acts like everything is working normally except its not....
Didn't work for me. My mic use to work on my PC. It's the same headset as yours. But then it randomly stopped working. But works on a PS4. So not sure what it could be. My headset doesn't show up on my PC, but plays sound through it? Which is odd. I get stressed too easy with things like this so I have no other solution to fix it :(
This is my third time buying a gaming headset with a mic. Turtle Beach mic words great on my iphone but not on my PC. MB has a built in sound card and I have a Asus DX soundcard pcie. so many drivers with Nvidia and win10 Pro wont upgrade to win 11 Pro.

oncei did all the steps up to restarting my pc, i replugged my headset in and there was not an option titled "headset (with microphone).. im stuck now

my realtek audio console is MSI and doesn't have the same visuals as yours,

What fixed mine was go to microphone privacy settings and allow access for all apps to microphone
me too bro, i wasted fourty bucks on them just for it to not work
I fixed that problem by restarting the computer.

I'm not entirely sure. When I updated to 11 I had no issues.
@@johnbalderas1989 oh yea, turns out, I did all the steps except the part to open Realtek Audio Console, because that app only supports Windows 10 and not 11, but I managed to get the mic working surprisingly, my mic is just low apparently, Is there any way to higher my MIC volume?

Interesting, this same laptop in the video has windows 11 on it now and I haven't had any issues.
