Quick HUD\Overlays Tutorial: 1. Load the game mode (for example, practice) and press F4 and you will see RBRHUD plugin. 2. Next you click "Overlays". 3. Here you have 3 types of overlays: before the race, during the race, after the race + 3 types for replays. Let's start with the main one "In-Race Overlay". 4. Click "Open Overlays Editor". 5. In the "Active" list, these are the elements that are currently on your screen. In the "Available" list, these are the elements that you can add. 6. In the "Active" list сlick on any element and below will appear the values that you can change. 7. If you want to move an element, click on this element in the "Active" list so that it is active and then press and hold the F1 button while using the mouse (on the screen) to drag the element to any area of the screen. Now release the F1 button. 8. For the damage display location, there is a visible copy (NoHide) specifically for customizing damage display elements ("Full v2", "Honeycomb", "BeamNG"). Copy the values of the visible version (NoHide), paste them into the original element, and then delete the visible version. 9. If you click Save(Overwrite) you will change the existing "defoult_in_race" overlay. 10. If you come up with your own name and write it in the field next to "Save As" button and click this "Save As" button you will save the overlay you created under your name without changing the default overlay. P.S. Have fun!
1 way - in RSF launcher > SETTINGS > Cockpit & Dashboard > Digidash full > make "Disabled" in "Racing" and in "Replay" columns. 2 way - double right click in game mode > internal camera > dash > full dash\mini dash > using negative values just move your digidash outside the screen and press save.
Hi there. Directors Cut creator here. Could you explain on what exactly you mean by "god-level" cam tool and what features you mean by that? Have you fully explored all the features that Directors Cut already offers? DC can record the path of your own freecam movement, which can then be played back based on replay time. It can even record multiple passes of translational and rotational camera path movement individually. This allows you to create virtually any camera you can think of, from realistic handheld cams to helicopter or drone cams. It should do more or less the same as the example you showed with the fancy cam animation. From which sim is that? Let me know what you miss.
Hi! Really glad to have you here. Yeah, I saw the Recorder mode in DC, but I couldn't figure out all its capabilities and how it works in general. F1 helps, but not enough. I have tons of questions. Here are, for example, the most basic ones: 1) How to switch between setup and active modes? 2) How to slow down a replay? (pro tip) 3) Is it possible to reassign free camera movement to keys, for example W-A-S-D? 4) Is it possible to place trajectory markers along the camera's movement path? In order NOT to record the movement that you are making at the moment of recording (pressing ctrl + 2), but so that the movement is carried out according to previously set markers? As in my example from BeamNG.Drive in the video. By the way, I highly recommend checking out this Cam Tool in this game. You need just go into replay mode and press F11. Here you can not only place trajectory markers, but also work with them later. You can change them as you like, delete them, put new ones, adjust the smoothness of the camera movement, etc. It would be great if such convenience could be implemented in the DC. 5) And please, can you make a big detailed tutorial on how to work with Directors Cut (in English)? Especially about the Recording mode. I'm sure I'm not the only one who would like to do cinematic replays in RBR.
@@imagineracer Here we go. 1) To toggle modes, press Space 2) To slow down the replay speed open Pacenote Plugin with a double right click. 3) Yes, it is possible to change all shortcuts, see the hotkeys file in the DC plugin subdirectory. 4) A similar solution was already part of the previous version of Directors Cut (not released to the public) and was dropped because it was too time consuming to adjust. Making it more user friendly, as BeamNG seems to do, was just not a good balance between development effort and added value. Using the "Recorder Cam" in Directors Cut is much easier and much faster to get convincing results. You can slow down the playback speed while recording, which allows you to create a very precise trajectory of your camera movement. The result should be close to what you can get with BeamNG. 5) Yes, I plan to make more video tutorials. But in the meantime, I suggest you watch the in-game tutorials of DC (press F1) or watch the intro tutorial again by opening the menu (H), navigating to Freecam->Plugin->Show Tutorial. Many of your questions will be answered there. I hope this helps. Could you please tell me exactly what you mean by "God-like" cam mode? I would like to know what cinematic shots you can do in other cam mods that are not possible in Directors Cut.
Thanks for the answers! You've cleared up a lot for me about DC. I'll be honest, if I hadn't asked you directly, I would never have guessed how it all works. You gave me the starting information, then I spent a lot of time to set everything up using config.dc and hotkeys.dc files. Virtual-key codes, FreecamESDF settings and all the other nuances. 1% of the total mass will pass through this jungle to evaluate the potential of your plugin. "God-like" cam mode - I meant that you can do whatever you want with the camera in virtual space in replay mode. And yes, now I see that in your plugin I can really do about the same thing as in BeamNG. But in BeamNG it took me 15-20 minutes to intuitively figure out how everything works. In the case of DC, I needed direct answers from you and several hours of trying to figure out the settings in config.dc and hotkeys.dc files. Well, but I still figured it out. No hard feelings about what I said in the video. It was very difficult to understand the structure of Directors Cut, but yes, your plugin is awesome too, I admit. Well, why wouldn't I? In my videos I say what I really think, I don’t have any agenda. So, when I have time I will try to convert the acquired knowledge into some nice video-sequence. Let's see what I get in the end. If I have any questions about how DC works, I'll contact you on Discord. Thank you again for your willingness to answer questions. It really helped.
Wow this game... I am very new to sim racing, and didn't know of RBR but I am amazed by its I just started playing rbr 2 weeks ago as my first sim racing game ever. The level of attention that has been brought to this game is amazing. It's the real deal, for free! It ruined dirt rally 2.0 for me which I only tried after a week of RBR. Still a fun game, but the stages and racing experience are not on par.
I have a practically similar story. RBR is the only full-fledged game that provides a rich rally experience as close to realism as possible. "The level of attention that has been brought to this game is amazing" Yep, this is truly amazing.
Thanks for explaining how to start editing screen app’s. I would really appreciate if someone could give an indept tutorial video on editing/moving/ customizing screen app’s. Thanks again and Merry Xmas
how do you change the size of overlays? ... I know how to move them around but beamNG damage monitor was the right size before the update now it f00kin huge O_o ?
Hi, if game doesn't have reverse stage, can i stop right before the end of pit and drive the other way to start point? Some uphill stage don't have reverse stage so at least i can downhill on some stage
The element should be active in the right tab (where you can add or remove elements). Apparently you currently have selected "tire condition box'' in the right tab. Just click on the element you want to quickly move using F1 button and press F1.
Go to RSF launcher, and in the first tab RallySimFans > General game settings > Override RBR driver name I don't have a cross here in the box. Also at the top (online rally account) I logged into my account. And the account has the name I need - Imagine Racer

THANKS FOR THIS INCREDIBLE WORK!
Also the new loading screens are badass!
Thank you, gonna check it out in 2025❤
You're amazing! Thank you!
You guys are cooler than Santa Claus! No Santa can make such a miracle out of a 20-year-old game! I love you guys!
The new huds and overlays look great!
Look amazing! And most importantly, there is an unlimited possibility of customization of all this.
oh yes, spent 4 hours in VR yesterday, soo good :)
Wow. The RBR I know from circa 2012 has changed beyond recognition. Gotta try out that RSF stuff, it's been a long time.
