I think pansori is an amazing and beautiful way of singing, I think it’s sad that the younger generations in SK are less interested in it. As a German teenager, there is nothing I am particularly proud of concerning German culture, if I was Korean I would embrace my culture. Pansori is really beautiful and although I don’t really speak Korean, I can feel the emotion and am sometimes crying when listening to pansori performances. Thank you for covering such an amazing topic, Dave.

i LOVE pansori... i studied it over the summer and learnt sooo much vocab from the lyrics - it's really like a time freeze of the speech of those centuries and the vocal talent is breathtaking !
And if I say that Ko Yeongyeol is only 28 and is actually a cute meme of a man would y'all believe me hahaha. If this is him now, imagine how amazing he's gonna sound later on
Like in all singing styles the body posture plays a significant role. You can make the air flow better. Given the way you were sitting it makes sense why you found it more difficult. It was a very good try though dude, respect :) The pansori teacher was amazing.
I didn't know they had lessons for this kind of stuff. It's amazing, but ain't nobody giving it the one-on-one attention it deserves. I love it when UA-camrs showcase traditional or indigenous art forms. Languages and food too!

THAT IS EPIC! I love that! A tip for you Dave, if you are singing while sitting, try to sit like the Ko Yeongyeol does, because the way you sat, especially later on, makes it difficult to sing as you are pushing your lungs with your knees.

Generally Korean society hates people from the Southwest or Jeollado. That could be one of the reasons why pansori isn't as popularised too.
