@Proton1 Recently I programmed a pattern into the TB-03 and that pattern was copied from an old Rebirth 1.0 song (Trancio.rbs by Frank Chotai). Rebirth and TB-03 sound totally different, there's no resemblance what so ever. If anything, it's Rebirth that sounds warmer, it sounds kinda like (to some degree) the SH-101. (Yes, I did remember about the knob settings). I don't have real 303 so I'm not commenting on that, but all I can say is equating TB-03 to Rebirth is total bs.

The TB-03 actually holds up pretty well in comparisons (such as ua-cam.com/video/r8CAEUU_ics/v-deo.html), and has some nice features the real one lacks, like trigger input and shuffle. The emulation does start to fall apart at extreme settings though, and they really botched the way accents interact with resonance and slides. But with most settings it sounds quite good.

awesome jam ! when you record to Ableton, are the 2 machines' audio separated so you can add reverb just to one ? If so what kind of mixer or audio interface are you using to split both incoming signal please ? :)

Yep. Some of the clones are very good, but the only alternative that gets all the details right is the RE-303, a true replica built with the exact same components.

I had a TR-8 and sold it. I prefer the TR-09 because it has a song-mode and memory for 96 pattern. And the sound has a little bit more "bite".

Ableton can't send din sync to a 303 directly though. Need some kind of a conversion box. I use a Beat Step Pro to clock my 303 from Ableton or Logic
