I’ve never mail ordered plants and have only bought them from stores. I wash them in my sink as soon as I get home and then spray them with water/alcohol every day for a week or two and now add systemic granules and leave them in the kitchen for a week or two. So far it’s worked great
Hi Kevin, I know you show us your propagation throughout your vids often, but can you do a video just on propagation, your propagation setup (bins, lights, shelf, potting material, etc) and prop advice!
Hi Kevin, awesome giving us 3 videos in one week!! One thing that I normally do when I transition my plants from any substrate to another is soak the clean root system in a mixture of Super Thrive, Cal Mag and Seaweed extract. It seems to lessen the transplant shock. I have been using this mixture for about 2 years now and I really think it makes a big difference to the plants surviving the big change.
Love semi-hydro! All of my aroids and hoyas are in S/H, mostly because I know that if roots die, I can cut and propagate and I don't lose the plant. I now have loads of orchids and I'm less inclined to try semi-hydro. I've only been brave enough to do it with some phals simply because their roots are so thick and it's less risky. I learned so much about growing in s/h from you, you are my hero!
oh no! RIP to the obovata! you know i don’t cut the roots but i don’t give it as much water as an unrooted cutting in leca… i would have given it like a cm of water whilst the roots aclimate from soil to leca.. such a tick leaf hoya has a large amount of water in its leaves and like you said lack of light… we all lean from our mistakes man thanks for sharing!! ❤❤❤
So pleased you put this out today. Received new anthuriums yesterday from Ecuador and wasn’t sure what I was going to do, you made my mind up (I think). Lol wish me luck🙏🏼🤞🏽🍀
I don’t use pon or leca. But I’m becoming more interested in it. Almost all the people I watch here on UA-cam are using pon, at least with part of the plants are in pon and some use leca too. I don’t have any vessels to use with pon or leca. But the minute I can get done, I’ll try it.
Congratulations! 3 videos in a week. Wow! I always learn something new from watching your videos. It would be great to have a video on how you maintain to be pest free considering the number of plants you have.
I have an idea for your next video, putting hooks in your ceiling to start hanging plants from the roof because where oh where are you putting all of these plants. Seriously if I put new plants in non soaked Leca they die die die 🙆♀
Do you get little black bugs in your reservoirs? I’ve been getting it in some of my reservoirs and I can’t find any info on it. They just jump around in there and they’re black.
I wish i has the funds an all do try pon i love my chuny soil but i dont love gnats ive killed so many plants letting the soil dry out lol but i need to read about pon an the adding all the stuff to it i just wanna make the switch but to many plants an no extra cash
3 videos this week? I mean 3! It makes me so happy. You're the best Kevin!

I enjoyed this video. I alway learn a lot watching when plant people record themselves doing the most mundane tasks! Thanks.
I'm having a blast watching your videos. Following you closely from Malaysia 🌿 hugs🌱

I’m so excited about the coriacea!!
Great update; thanks for sharing Kevin!

I’m so sorry about your wish list Hoya 😢 I’m kicking myself for not grabbing one of the rhaphidophora megasperma 😮 thanks for the update video! ❤
I used to plunge air plants in a bucket of warm water and leave them to soak a while

So many tiny cuties!
I'd love to see a full video on how you would handle flatmites
Great video. I love my air plants. Easiest and no pests so far. 😅

Silver streaking? What kind of pest is that?
If you put too many of them in the back (the taller plants) it will tip over. Brace the back against something to avoid tipping over
One casualty isn’t too bad 😅.

I got up to see what the beeping was and then realized it was you lmaoo
