Thanks for sharing your skills with us. Really appreciate the time and effort it takes for you to provide these to us. BTW why was the wash you were applying at the end after you cut the tape mask?
Thats garnet sand mix with water, im using "poor mans sandblasting" method to take shine away from surface where elements are placed Tape protects already polished surface not to get mate finnish
One more question! What are you doing at the end with the liquid your pouring over the engraving? Is that like or similar to sand blasting or something?i feel like I've seen something similar before but can't remember now. Thanks for any tips/advice!
Its sandblasting method i pickep up from Japanese watchmaker, water is used as medium to guide sand when it gets poured from distance onto surface by hand
@@ReinisStripnieks that is very cool, I've seen a few guys do it with just sand on precious metals bit I haven't seen that technique with water and I presume steel. I've kind of looked I to sandblasting setups but don't want the dedicate space for something I won't use frequently. This is a great solution I think. Do you still use the same type of sand/medium? May I ask aht you use? Thanks again, very insightful for me and greatly appreciated
@@savestheday258 it can be garnet sand or glass beads, your choice Dont take the finest grains because it will take long time to blast stainless by hand

What's the gritt of the paper you used to sand your inlay? Just curious. Thank you for sharing! Beautiful work ⚒ ♥
Inlay gets cut off as even to main surface as possible and then i sand it with 800 grit paper going up to 1200
