amazing...
it's crazy how they can put so many instruments together and make beautiful music
Thanks 🙏🏼 praise to whom ever got this on you tube
The last 2 minutes of this song are so powerful, the piano playing and the build up fills me with so much emotion its almost not real. Real music should bring out emotion in people.
THIS is real music
BSchro god damn crackhead
Great comment I totally agree
I would quit Cookies to see this!
2021 still jammin to this
omg. The break into the middle part after the chimes, when listened-to from the start of the track, has to be THE most powerful version of this song. I never realized how fucking genius this band was until this acoustic stuff. I mean I knew they were good at what they did; but it just didn't all jive with me, aside from stuff like Metameme and Breathe In. Their music "makes sense" to me more in this type of setting for some reason.
The best ❤
That, was most brilliant.
talent. pure talent
This album is incredible
I am so excited that they are going to be in GG park this August. I loved their halloween shows here in SF.
Straight. Fire.
Damn, I thought I'd never hear acoustic STS9! I'd have to say, I think I like it more! It's nice to know that when the world's power supply runs out, we can still enjoy this type of music.
when you say 51,945 you mean i saw 51,944 of those.... this jam has done word.....
live it, love it, share it with your friends......... Love you ALL !!
Incredible! What a fantastic performance! They are so tight, they are seamless.
this is what real music is
man....speechless

I'm spacing out to this. I love it!
perfection.
Beautiful.

well that's just about the best thing ever
holy shit musical perfection!
this piece is amazing
Axe the Winery in August 2012!! Stoked for that, really hope they play this song =)
I listen to the [studio] version periodically on my iTunes account ⏤ from the "Seasons 1" album, and am currently looking for a different perspective on the approach to it ⏤ and this has led me here ⏤
Tonight!
gaddang I get goosebumps everytime, brings me back to good old Redrock days and that epic 5 night run tribe did at the boulder theatre in 05??
Welcome back to Colorado!
this is fucking brilliant, i can't wait for axe the cables on the rocks in a couple weeks
1
2022 and I’ve found you again
very nice
C is For Cookie!
There was nothing like this at that time.1999-Poof. It was so powerful you would continue to reflect upon that era forever. How could you know then?
why doesn't this video have like 500k+ views?
round up the troops.. tour next summer hard with cheese. make enough to never worry agian
the evolution of classical music
Matthew Piper interesting perspective. I wish STS9 would stick to "acoustic" only, because it def is a higher form of music than their electronic sounding stuff. I agree though.
Keith Rose How does this have anything to do with classical music, and how is this "def a higher form of music" than electronic music? The evolution of classical music is people like kaitlyn aurelia smith, who work with electronics.
There's really nothing to distinguish this from a lot of ECM records that came out in the 70s and 80s. That label gets a little bit of a bad rep for popularizing smooth jazz, but a lot of the composition was more interesting than it's smoothness and unfortunate instrument choices indicated.
This whole performance is incredible. Please come back to Syracuse, you guys were incredible.
excellent!! m kind of music these days
fuckin sick!
phipps looks so happy at 2:50
I agree man I would kill to have them only play axe the cables style or to get another similar band to do it (but I dont think thats possible!)
@03raq maybe you can catch them at Mayan Holidays someday.I hope to see them in Denver, Colorado next month.
@4:20 makes me loose myself with love
hahahaha OMG 5:43!!!!!!!!
Can you guys do this or something similar again? please.
@fcmilsweeper9 I'm saying there are plenty of people who listen to Sound Tribe like Medeski Martin & Wood, which is a jazz group. I'd say a pretty similar style/sound to this song too actually.
What happened to our band ❤️❤️❤️
I suggest you go see a show this year…
@@Chriscarpenter2 yeet
I dont really get what you're trying to say...
Im saying most people who listen to STS9 (A lot of them probably being college aged pot heads, really) probably wouldnt go to like a jazz club or something, but this video of sts9 is something that might be at a jazz club.
@crunchingroovzman75 lmao, theres always that guy.
I'm pretty sure it is a Larivee
sound tribe is so much better acoustic. or am i crazy?
Youre crazy!
parker ash lol love how you’re here to see this too. Acoustic and electric are both amazing.
Yeah they're just good either way. But you're crazy for saying better acoustic. No way.
i have free tickets but already made plans that i cant cancel, i tried but couldnt :(
@megawhitedynamite arthritis symptoms
MMW? Doesn't remind me of MMW at all... While I get that they're the only good jazz combo that any hippie is aware from the last 40 years or so, their music is significantly more complex and experimental, and not just in their more abrasive electric sets.
Reminds me of the heyday of ECM records in overall vibe, Tortoise in compositional structure
This is so awsome but whats funny is if this was any other band itd prolly be labled as jazz and people prolly wouldnt even check it out
Sadly I'm sure someone has said it.
@civvys Good question dude...or like-minded female version of...dude.
This is sick...but honestly, I'd rather see them with their comps and their abletons
@fcmilsweeper9 Because no one on the jam circuit listens to MM&W.
@jewwunnit not really, it's just this is a jam genre of jazz... traditional jazz in most cases lacks the musical aspect that would attract these people.
and one of the other bands ripped this off. . its UM. Maybe they asked you. I would assume so
@Daddyblak Kinda looks like a fem is under the piano giving him the Jones the whole time...
