- In the weeks leading up to Guybrush's fateful visit to Blood Island the mysterious sounds in the Goodsoup Hotel increased dramatically. Griswald was used to the noises of the old and unused building. But one evening, as a storm swept through the Tri-Island area, he was compelled to check and see whether there was an unwanted guest upstairs...or was it really just his imagination?

When I watched it the first time I wasn't even aware that the rain was edited in. I watched your 'storm over blood island' video several times to relax, so rain on blood island was already natural for me.
Also I fast forwarded through the whole video to see if something scary might happen, or if Griswald comes back unexpectedly.
I enjoy this low key storytelling a lot!
Excellent, thanks! I had it in my mind for over a year to do rain, lightning and flickering light in this scene and I'm glad I actually got around to doing it! I've got a few standard scenes from the Telltale series coming up, but I'm also planning on doing more like this. I'll have to look up 90's MI fan-fiction stories to see who's already added to the lore!

This is the first time one of the non-guybrush characters actually walks in this game. I forget where I read it, but every character stands/sits still in-game (except Lechuck at the rollercoaster, but he's evil).
So Griswald has a key to this room and checks on it from time to time. I don't think he'll dare to enter.
Haha indeed! This is about the limit of my animating skills…. The only examples of very short walking animations I can think of are when Blondebeard hops across to you when you enter the restaurant, and when Haggis leaves the barber shop to try and find a paperweight… but now I’m wondering if I’m missing some obvious ones! 🤔

That’s is correct! Only Guybrush has a generic walking animation. All the other characters have only what they call “special animations” which are designed for specific scenes. Blondebeard hoping and Haggis leaving to find a stone are still special animations. This a huge contrast between MI1&2 where they used generic walking animations on secondary characters quite often.
@@legendofmiI just played Curse, there is one walking animation that could count as a generic walking animation! Mr Fossey walks off after captain Lechimp convinces him that the monkeys should roam free.

haha thanks! I used Paint.net to do the images frame-by-frame, Filmora to animate it, and Audacity to do the audio mixing!
