I just finished year 1 and I have thoroughly enjoyed every one of them. You have definitely opened my eyes to new possibilities in travel - as my husband and I think about retirement! I love you guys. I am just discovering the world of Vlogging and I think I am definitely hooked--especially on watching you two. I will try to keep this brief but I want you to know how it lifts my heart to see how you two live each day with such joy. Had my amazing husband lived to retire we had plans to travel. We successfully raised three wonderful children, paid off a mortgage, fulfilled some dreams. But our big plans involved world travel. My husband died suddenly just days before our 30th anniversary. The grief almost got the best of me as each day became a challenge to just breathe and move. He will always be the love of my life. So while I know my plans no longer include world travel, I am thoroughly enjoying living vicariously through you two adorable, fellow southerners. I don't tell you this to be Debbie Downer. I wish you could see my smile right now. Thank you for sharing your lives. You two are a delight! I will add my financial support when circumstances allow later on. God bless and keep vlogging. :)
I ran across your vlog one day and it was the trans-Siberian vlogs. I became a regular watcher after those train episodes. In the last two to three weeks I have been going back to the beginning and watching all the videos. I enjoy it very much and actually find it a stress reliever. Thanks for all your hard work.
Hey Kara and Nate! i know Kara checks comments in the morning, so i'm dropping a note to say hi to you guys~ I, somehow, came across your Cathay First Class Lounge videos and started following your vlogs its just the right timing as I'll be travelling to HK-Bangkok-Taipei coming March, and watching your videos from last year in the same places is really hyping up my mood to travel (and going back to the Cathay lounges!) I must say, one of the reasons why I think it is a pleasure to watch your vlogs is because you guys have such great manners towards each other, even during times of devastation (missing free massages, missing transportation, going the wrong way, etc). Neither one of you takes it out on the other person with bad attitude (at least not on camera), and still responds to each other with a positive response. I think it is something every couple can learn from!
This maybe four years later but i love your guy's channel. i just found it this year and started binge watching the older videos. It is better than watching regular TV. I think content like this should be on the Travel Channel instead of what they have now. I tell everyone I know about your Vlog! Thanks for keeping them coming!

Well it is New Year's Eve in 2019 now... I have watch every vlog from the start in the past 3 weeks. I just made everyone who is at our home watch the last few with me. (Have also told every co-worker I have spoken to about them as well!) The unanimous opinion in the room is that the two of you are outstanding at what you do! (And that I must keep going and get caught up with real time before the 100th country vlog comes out in January.) Thank you so much for keeping it going. It is amazing! Onward to the next 500+ :-)
I had burned out on travel vlogs and flight attendant vlogs a year or so ago and didn't want to watch anymore lol. Somehow one of your vids came up on my feed about a month ago and I took the bait and clicked. Slowly I was hooked. You two are the best. Thank you for continuing to vlog and make what i believe are the best on UA-cam. I check a number of times each day to see if you have uploaded for the day and look forward to when im able to watch. You still inspire me to want to travel more and have opened me up to just making it happen. I admire your bravery for taking that first step last year and leaving a 'normal' 9-5 lifestyle that a lot of people take comfort in. I first discovered you early last year while i was doing my research for my Hong Kong trip last year and had to binge watch the rest of your collection - haven't missed one yet. Far better then filling in the time with Netflix and you have opened me up to wanting to travel to countries i never would have considered in the past. Hi guys! I just happened to check one of your travelling series videos (the Patagonia ones) and now I'm hooked looking at all of your other adventures! so surprised you came to Argentina (I'm argentinian and living in Buenos Aires right now). Really glad you enjoyed your stay here and had fun. But I specifically wanted to tell you that it's a shame you weren't served proper mate by anyone! Because a well prepared one is a treat! it has less water, not on a boiling point (because it burns the herb) and actually the owner of the mate has to try it first before passing it to other people, to kind of remove the first strong taste you guys experienced. Also it's common to add sugar on top of it to smooth it up. Here it's such a tradition to drink it that serving/preparing mate without knowing how to properly do it, its considered kind of rude haha. The one Nate got is like a mate emergency kit! people buy it when they forgot their own and they're travelling big distances, usually. Hope you liked it here, and maybe, someday, come back! you guys definitely need to check out the Iguazu Falls up north. It's magical!

Greetings from Cape Town. A few days ago it was quite a hot day and I knew that my partner, Tracy, would appreciate some 'summer food'. I was looking for some supper ideas for Tracy when I stumbled across one of your Cape Town vlogs (the visit to the Biscuit Mill). I enjoyed your interaction with each other and the 'playfulness' of the vlog. Soon I realised that there was more to your story here in Cape Town and so I got to watch more later that night when Tracy went to sleep. I ended up watching quite a few of your Thailand videos through to the early hours of the next day. When Tracy woke up to go to work, she found me in our kitchen and asked me whether I went out. Instead I showed her your visit to Kuang Si Falls in Laos. She enjoyed it as much as I did and later that evening when she came back from work we started watching some more of your vlogs. We enjoy your insights, tips about travelling and we can relate to what you have to deal with whilst travelling on so many levels, since we experienced a bit of it on our travels. Besides the beautiful sceneries, interesting foods and many adventures - one of the things that stood out for me was how much I appreciated your insights about the elephant sanctuary vs elephant trekking in Thailand. We got to learn about the abusive side of it after we had done it in Thailand. These little insights can make a big difference in the way people travel and experience other countries. It can also lead to creating an awareness of issues that need highlighting. Your vlog is so important in this regard because it shows people how to travel better without adding to societal problems that can arise from people wanting to provide products or services in the tourist industry in the easiest possible way. In a strange way modernity can also contribute to the world's problems. We have not travelled as much as you have and therefore watching your vlogs is most inspiring. The quality of your vlogs (the stability of the filming, how level you keep horizons, the choice of music, the way your vids flow, clarity of sound, etc.) is excellent and after watching some other vlogs out there, I can safely say that both Tracy and I are now fans. I'm very glad you didn't quit vlogging. This video is 3 years old, I started at the beginning of your videos when I had a major surgery this year and it helped me when all I could do was sit around waiting to get better and binge watch. To be able to see the world through these videos instead of only pictures since I can't currently travel has been an awesome experience and I plan on watching the rest.

I love you guys. I am just discovering the world of Vlogging and I think I am definitely hooked--especially on watching you two. I will try to keep this brief but I want you to know how it lifts my heart to see how you two live each day with such joy. Had my amazing husband lived to retire we had plans to travel. We successfully raised three wonderful children, paid off a mortgage, fulfilled some dreams. But our big plans involved world travel. My husband died suddenly just days before our 30th anniversary. The grief almost got the best of me as each day became a challenge to just breathe and move. He will always be the love of my life. So while I know my plans no longer include world travel, I am thoroughly enjoying living vicariously through you two adorable, fellow southerners. I don't tell you this to be Debbie Downer. I wish you could see my smile right now. Thank you for sharing your lives. You two are a delight! I will add my financial support when circumstances allow later on. God bless and keep vlogging. :)

its just the right timing as I'll be travelling to HK-Bangkok-Taipei coming March, and watching your videos from last year in the same places is really hyping up my mood to travel (and going back to the Cathay lounges!)
I must say, one of the reasons why I think it is a pleasure to watch your vlogs is because you guys have such great manners towards each other, even during times of devastation (missing free massages, missing transportation, going the wrong way, etc). Neither one of you takes it out on the other person with bad attitude (at least not on camera), and still responds to each other with a positive response. I think it is something every couple can learn from!

Well it is New Year's Eve in 2019 now... I have watch every vlog from the start in the past 3 weeks. I just made everyone who is at our home watch the last few with me. (Have also told every co-worker I have spoken to about them as well!) The unanimous opinion in the room is that the two of you are outstanding at what you do! I first discovered you early last year while i was doing my research for my Hong Kong trip last year and had to binge watch the rest of your collection - haven't missed one yet. Far better then filling in the time with Netflix and you have opened me up to wanting to travel to countries i never would have considered in the past.
I know how you feel about being 'friends' with the people you watch on UA-cam, your emails and videos are just like friends checking in and showing us they are having a great time (in a non creepy way).

Hi. We started watching from the beginning after stumbling across your soneva Javi video. We just finished the whole of year one in around a month of watching!!! It's fair to say we are addicted, we have never watched vlogs before and already don't know what we will do when we catch up to the present day! Quite happily binge watching 20 episodes at a time!!!

Hi guys! I just happened to check one of your travelling series videos (the Patagonia ones) and now I'm hooked looking at all of your other adventures! so surprised you came to Argentina (I'm argentinian and living in Buenos Aires right now). Really glad you enjoyed your stay here and had fun.
But I specifically wanted to tell you that it's a shame you weren't served proper mate by anyone! Because a well prepared one is a treat! it has less water, not on a boiling point (because it burns the herb) and actually the owner of the mate has to try it first before passing it to other people, to kind of remove the first strong taste you guys experienced. Also it's common to add sugar on top of it to smooth it up. Here it's such a tradition to drink it that serving/preparing mate without knowing how to properly do it, its considered kind of rude haha.
The one Nate got is like a mate emergency kit! people buy it when they forgot their own and they're travelling big distances, usually.

Greetings from Cape Town. A few days ago it was quite a hot day and I knew that my partner, Tracy, would appreciate some 'summer food'. I was looking for some supper ideas for Tracy when I stumbled across one of your Cape Town vlogs (the visit to the Biscuit Mill). I enjoyed your interaction with each other and the 'playfulness' of the vlog. Soon I realised that there was more to your story here in Cape Town and so I got to watch more later that night when Tracy went to sleep. I ended up watching quite a few of your Thailand videos through to the early hours of the next day. When Tracy woke up to go to work, she found me in our kitchen and asked me whether I went out. Instead I showed her your visit to Kuang Si Falls in Laos. She enjoyed it as much as I did and later that evening when she came back from work we started watching some more of your vlogs. We enjoy your insights, tips about travelling and we can relate to what you have to deal with whilst travelling on so many levels, since we experienced a bit of it on our travels.
Besides the beautiful sceneries, interesting foods and many adventures - one of the things that stood out for me was how much I appreciated your insights about the elephant sanctuary vs elephant trekking in Thailand. We got to learn about the abusive side of it after we had done it in Thailand. These little insights can make a big difference in the way people travel and experience other countries. It can also lead to creating an awareness of issues that need highlighting. Your vlog is so important in this regard because it shows people how to travel better without adding to societal problems that can arise from people wanting to provide products or services in the tourist industry in the easiest possible way. In a strange way modernity can also contribute to the world's problems. We have not travelled as much as you have and therefore watching your vlogs is most inspiring. The quality of your vlogs (the stability of the filming, how level you keep horizons, the choice of music, the way your vids flow, clarity of sound, etc.) is excellent and after watching some other vlogs out there, I can safely say that both Tracy and I are now fans. Keep up the amazing vibe and enjoy your travels fully!

I'm very glad you didn't quit vlogging. This video is 3 years old, I started at the beginning of your videos when I had a major surgery this year and it helped me when all I could do was sit around waiting to get better and binge watch. To be able to see the world through these videos instead of only pictures since I can't currently travel has been an awesome experience and I plan on watching the rest.
