One thing I love about Bona is during a live show when he went to take a solo he actually made it interactive and goofy. At one point he made it seem as though he was going to tear it up and "messed up" and instead didn't even solo for a phrase. Later her went to do insane stuff, but the fact that he just makes his music so much fun is really respectable.
This man is pure music, he has a special gift. It is soul, expression of what it is to be alive. We are blessed ti share it with him. The message is love, peace and brotherhood. Thank you Richard :-)

this song is actually a Mario Canonge composition called "Lese Pale". It is originally sung by Ralph Tamar in creole (Martinique in the french carribeans). Creole is based on the french language. However, Richard Bona is from Cameroon a former french colony in Africa. Most of these former colonies adopted french as the official language. Of course they speak other languages. In some African countries they have hundreds of languages as many as there are ethnic groups.
I've heard of this man, but never HEARD him until just now. What a talent!

@bohigasss Ok, that's an alder body (light) maple/rosewood neck, fralin pickups, relic sunburst finish. Richard choose from 5 basses and this one was lowest output, which he preferred. Richard is a great player.
As much as his play, his effects are just awesome, mind-altering awesome. It makes you look around for the other two or three instruments that he gets out of his stick. I'd like to sit in with this guy just once.
The bass just looks like a Fender with trimmed pickguard and a/market bridge in Fender colors, sounds like the older Fender deluxe split-coil pups.
