- Over the last few years the London System has gained in popularity on all levels - beginners to elite players. It's the flexibility of the opening which makes it a potent weapon at top level and a fixed system which makes it attractive for the beginners. IM Sagar Shah presents you with two weapons which can help you to fight the London System with black. By no means is the coverage exhaustive, but it can prove to be a good starting point for your journey against this well-known opening.

Another great line is to play NF6 g6 d5 short castles followed by blasting the centre with c5 followed by Nc6 and e5
In grunfeld style...
Gives black an equal position with big centre and slight practical edge
Looks kinda like this
1. d4 Nf6 2. Bf4 g6 3. e3 Bg7 4. Nf3 d5 5. c3 O-O 6. Nbd2 c5 7. Bd3 Nc6 8. O-O Re8 9. Rc1 Nd7 10. Qc2 e5
More branches and developments can be made, but gives black a very nice position to play for a win
thats the king's indian defense!
thanks sagar sir , this was must needed vdo.
thank you very much, good video and good explanation. Greetings from Germany to India. 🍀
Just wonderful. But there is one problem whenever I tried to go according to my repertoire some casual guy makes some moves like h3 a3 throwing me out of my repertoire and eventually winning the entire game.
h3 and a3 waste time, just play normal chess after that. Also as well as a waste of time, h3 does not do anything to stop the Qb6 plan.
Thanks for this video. I just spent an hour on my indoor bike and had several London videos on my playlist, but yours was the best variation.
i love watching this man
Sagar sir please do a video on how to play the grunfeld
Grunfeld is full theory if you don't want to study skip it
Brilliant! Thank you!
Very nicely explained IM
very good idea to put the pgn in the discription
Thanks
Sagar bhai Op ❤️

sagar bhai op
Hello Sagar Sir ,
My self Prakash Nath 😀

I use to play the London but when I face it things are not so easy...Your lesson is very helpful.
Great video Sagar Bhai!
good one Sagar. Thanks
Sagar bhai please stream aimchess semifinals
Thank you sir
Very informative.
Thank you Sagar bhai :-)
Hello sir o had a question does this weapons only work against nf3 then bf4 or do they work directly with bf4 with out nf3
White eventually one day or the other must playNf3. so it will work, just a matter of transposition and move order.
is the news about National chess academy true? cant find anything abt it
Sagar bhai thanks yaar
hey, thanks for making this video IM Sagar... i couldn't seem to download the PGN bcuz it requires a chessbase account.. do you mind attaching a downloadable version of it (preferably the one that can be downloaded into lichess study)?
Definitely
I will recommend this to him
So don't worry
Sagar do this da
pgn is not available
Hi from srilanka
I tried this weapon which you said but I didn't Got any result . It was just draw only.very sad feels . Please give more alternative weapons.
I played the e4 system after seeing this video yesterday. Crushed the opponent
What if the white queen directly go at c1 ? At the second variation of c5 and Qb6 for black.
Then Bf5 followed by e6 and Black has a fine position.
@@ChessBaseIndiachannel Thank you
When I will play against London system, using your idea I will send you the game
sagar sir i am a d4 player i want to start with e4 can you suggest a stable opening for white i am 1400 rated
Italian opening specially c3 D4 one Greco gambit lines do study them in lichess analysis help of Stockfish 14+NNUE engine , there are all Type of lines gambits solid too ..
By the way I am not Sagar bhai
And also you aren't a 1400 as even @ 900 knows something about openings
@Abhiraj Ratna but it's not that result oriented one to improve should be well versed with tactics which is here in mammoth rate , but guicco pianassimo is good should watch chessfactors video on it for grasping outline of ideas.
@Abhiraj Ratna i want to play e4 so i want some stable lines to start
@Abhiraj Ratna in lichess myself 1700 something in lichess

Can we play kings indian structure against london system?
Yes you can and it is a very good way to play. I decided to cover this because it is something I know better! :)
Thank you master
Are you OK sagar sir you look a little bit sick so if you are then get well soon sir
You can do this and you can do this. And after he does this, you can do this, or maybe this. And you can do this and possibly this.
...and so on.
Thanks; that's really useful. I hate the London!
What if white exchanges his black bishop by Bxd6 when we go Qc7, won't we lose a tempo?
Yes, but then Qxd6 and the idea is to go next Nc6 or Nd7 and prepare for ...e5 break.
@yash white plays Bf4 and Bxd6. 2tempi and his developed piece is gone. Black plays Bd6 Qc7 Qxd6 3 tempi but his queen is developed.
So it's not a big deal either if you are looking in terms of tempi.
I use kings Indian against london
Good solid weapon do watch Stockfish and leela game in that line kid was busted down there you will get some ideas there.
@@askashutosh8667 I watched most of the games of BOBBY FISCHER,s game in kings Indian defense.
@@AllRounder-bv7iu don't get restricted to a particular player thought fisher was one of the greats there is one way to improve play kid London lines in front of Stockfish engines in lichess site ......you can customise it to certain line or variation also....
