I remember watching this on newgrounds almost 10 years ago. Not even a few weeks after seeing it my old band was offered a gig opening for them when they were totally unknown. I jumped on it because i was the only person in town who had heard of them. The show was a blast and Horse was hilarious. I hung out with the bass player and he said he wanted to die by being torn apart by hundreds of 3rd graders in a fight. The keyboardist obviously stripped down to his underwear (as usual) and they spent the entire show making fun of Iowa, lol.
I saw them live in Montreal in 2006 and I was the only person who lit up a joint during the show. The guys in the band made me climb on stage and sit on a speaker so I could give them drags while they were performing. It was the coolest show ever!
The original video from Albino Black Sheep uses the version of the song from the album "Beautiful Songs By Men" (2002) with Adam Crook performing vocals, and Nathan Winneke on bass. Afterwards, Adam left the band and Nathan took over singing duties, the song was remade and released on their following album "R. Borlax" (2003) The version on Albino Black Sheep is also an extremely compressed copy which is likely due to size restrictions on the site, I mean, the video came out nearly a decade ago.
Recently I found a SD Card filler with music I used to listen in the past when I was in high school, and one of the many songs inside was this one, which I also forgot had a music video.
This was the song that got me super addicted to H.T.B. After hearing this, Lord Gold, And Cutsman Lady Luck and Fate smiled upon me because the next week they came to my state "Colorado" and I got to see them live in a Dirty, Cramped but fun bar!! It was amazing and I will never forget it.
@closeyetfar11 it was at the black sheep around 2006 to 2007. I can't remember how was with them. I had actually worked at the Video Game Exchange next door to the Black Sheep for a couple years here and there.
Sometimes I wonder if seeing this on ABS at age 11, and it being my first exposure to any sort of core music, is what lead to me being so obsessed with Asking Alexandria and Attack attack in the late 00s/early 10s. These guys pioneered electronicore, shame they arent more recognized
lol @ the old dumb comments. this isn't dubbed, it sounds different because this is Nathan singing. In the beginning, they had a guy Adam on vocals but they kicked him out. And they don't call themselves nintendocore, they were asked about it and Nathan stated "the sounds relate to nintendo, but the lyrics do not" and the fans did come up with it.
Oh my God I haven't heard this song in over 12 years and I don't know what just made me think of it but it popped into my head and I had to listen to it LOL welcome to 2021 folks
This video is so epic and sad! I know there is not intended metaphor for this song but seriously it is my whole life i relate so much! The scene where the poor thing is climbing that seemingly endless staircase is to powerful...i hope that was someones intent.
I first remember seeing this on ABS years ago, its so weird to find it years later and like it even more. 99% of the time im disgusted when I look back on what i use to listen to
horse is great live, and i love that crunchy, unclean sound of drums and guitar...i dig that sorta sound. straight from a garage to your ears. oh yea, and the video is great! what is that 16bit?...classic!
Bunnies was recorded when they first started out. Nathan Seemed to have changed his voice from the newer songs. On their Demo CD He sounds even Different-er.
comenting here so that my future self sees this when i re-remeber this song for the 5th time every 5 years or so. future me, you're still a failure aren't you?
Ah that makes sense. "The version on Albino Black Sheep is also an extremely compressed copy which is likely due to size restrictions on the site, I mean, the video came out nearly a decade ago." I... Kinda already said that.. lol
fucking love the music video! this was one of my favourite bands at the elemantary school, but i still like them. haven't really just listened since then..
Daaaamn just remembered this
Fuckkk i didn't know you fucked with Nintendocore
Hah!
Really cool seeing you post here. I was watching your RE clown basement music video not too long ago.
i didn’t know you liked nintendocore 💕
You now have to do a "What happened to Albino Black Sheep?"
didnt expect to see you here
lol
Take a moment to appreciate HOW MUCH FUCKING WORK WAS PUT INTO THIS ANIMATION 16 YEARS AGO!
BASIC FLASH!
🙌 🙌 🙌
This is UA-cam history at this point

That's so awesome. I wish they'd tour again.
I saw them live in Montreal in 2006 and I was the only person who lit up a joint during the show. The guys in the band made me climb on stage and sit on a speaker so I could give them drags while they were performing. It was the coolest show ever!
Was Dash on bass yet or was it still Andy?
I believe it was Andy, this must have been like 2004 or 5.

Horse the band is one of the bands of all time
It's insane to see how well this holds up.
That's what defines good music. It ages well.

Versipellis the rogue Changeling have you figured it out yet?
Amazing live
Tbf the song literally describes the video.
song doesn't make sense either
basically the plot of oddworld abes oddysey presented as a flash animation
Больше 10 лет эта композиция у меня на будильнике и на звонке телефона. Досих пор жалею, что не попала на концерт этой группы(
One of the most underrated bands ever
If not, THEE most
This song was the singular reason for starting my first band.
This song has aged so perfectly. 😊 still a banger 17 years later...
Bro it's like 20+ years
Recently I found a SD Card filler with music I used to listen in the past when I was in high school, and one of the many songs inside was this one, which I also forgot had a music video.
I remember was 7 when my cousin gave me a combat records demo disc. This song was on the disc. I’ve been in love since then
Hard to believe this is that old now. I remember watching this on AlbinoBlackSheep, I think it was. Good ass song, the flash is a classic as well.

"this is that old now" - 9 years ago
the synth, the composition, the performance. just legendary.
I was 17 when I first heard them, 11 years ago. I eargasmed. I still love them, but in more of a reverence to how random they are.

Was it with Animosity, and BTBAM? Around 2007 ish? at the Marquis in denver?
@closeyetfar11 it was at the black sheep around 2006 to 2007. I can't remember how was with them. I had actually worked at the Video Game Exchange next door to the Black Sheep for a couple years here and there.
