I’ve never seen a palette board that big!
This is brilliant, I started oil painting before the Internet was a thing, id always wanted to paint with what the masters painted with, So when I saw a class for people wanting to start oil painting I was desperate to go but been 11yrs I wouldn't go alone, I asked my mom to go but she said she couldn't paint a box, my reply was thats great you don't have to do a box so she came, (she still paints and has sold a lot of work in old Irish cottages ) I sold the 1st i put into an exhibition and a collector from Dublin bought it so that blew my mind when I was 16yrs..I carried on for a few years but go to a place where I didn't know what to paint, I was sick of landscapes I did a couple of animals then life got in the way so I've not painted in 20 odd yrs , my mother told her boss I was fabulous bless her heart ❤ so her boss said she'd pay big for a painting of her dog, the photos she sent ant great , I am so out of practice its not even funny,I've been thinking I must start at it again I've every colour still there theres no good excuse not to my work can end up looking too colourful , Even with similar colours,...So I love the way you lay out your pallet, im going to try that.. I've always loved the idea of doing a light dog on a black canvas so I started a small one just for practice, but I think I'll follow your style I bet it won't look as busy.as the black canvasis turning out.thanks subscribed
❤ from Ireland 🇮🇪..
I love your work and instructing!
I also love your personality!
Thank you for posting this video. Very helpful.
I only get distracted when my wife comes into the studio and tries to start a conversation. LOL.
beautiful portrait!
I'm not watching but listening while I do my pet cat .your an inspiration and very possitive and fun .I'm like you getting suprised about colours .who would think I would be using green .
It's amazing how many colours are in a potrsit .but the only thing is I'm starving and no dinner just put in front of me which would be so great .Im too hungry to do more .but Im so shocked how much Ive done .wow IS that the time ha ha .your video has given me confidence and my cat died 7 years ago and I just brought her back to life and her daughter has just walked by and stopped and stated for a while .wow ..
Thank you for your vids .yours came on at the right time .but Im still hungry so I should stop ..xx
I like it very much, thanks 😊
I love dogs. I want to try and paint my son’s dog. This video is very helpful. Thank you!👌🙂
great job.
Nice
Great job again. Keep up the good work 👍 Still waiting for the feline paintings.....(I sent u pics of my fur babies via Insta).
Although it doesn't look like the dog in the picture, it is nonetheless a great picture!
Yes, I was just thinking that. If the goal is for a likeness if you are painting a particular animal i.e. someone's pet then the likeness is way off, which is an important factor when doing commission work as the owner wants it to look like their pet, not a random pet. The muzzle and skull are wrong and how they are sitting in the space around. Needed more attention to detail of the structure of a dogs head as you would of a human head when painting a portrait.
Very good, enjoyed your video🇦🇺..and how you created Noah
am trying to paint my daughter's long-haired german shepherd finding it a bit of difficulty to get the colors. he was a beautiful boy.
I need to step away for a couple days then get back to them.
Is it Your palete diferent from the description?
I'm a bit stressed out today.
Been working on a painting of my dog and can't seem to get the eyes spaced accurately.
Also painting a picture with a rock in it and am having trouble over working it. still not happy with it...grrrrrrr.
So enjoyed watching you. But feel so sad coz I work with acrylics!
How about do some animals Bob Ross hanging around with when he i was living
Yeah to much talking but nice too see a step by step tutorial I can take anything from
Bob Ross bring a old garbage can into the studio especially when he on vacation
you can do it in the old garbage can with a 2 x 4 or 1 x 4 into the garbage can. Making all the plank go away where shop into the old garbage can
Module🥺
You forgot add one more tooth underneath it done
I dont understand why you put in the pink. This does not look like the dog.
