Great video, you have alot of good points about this show. But even if Attack on Titan ended, I want to see more than what the story itself told us bacuase of these unanswerd questions. I have number of ideas that could expand this unique franchise: 1. Ideas for a prequel: Do you know how many ideas for a prequel Isayama could write if he wanted to? There are so many untold stories like the one about the first 9 titans, a spinoff spechial about 3 important side characters (like Eren Kruger for example), the story of the Great Titan War and the origin story of the Survey Corps. 2. Idea for the sequel: the events of the futuristic war and the kid (who's going with his dog to the cave of Eren's tree) are unclear. I hope that Isayama would like to explain that (only by his own free will). 3. Another ova or anime movie: I would like to watch a movie about Founding Yimr and her private conversations between each one of the Yeager bros (Eren and Zeke). I think that this potential movie could fill some plot holes and show us how many times Eren manipulated the Attack Titan users and how many time he kept the timeline in check (like the time when Eren made Titan Dina eating his mom instead of Berthold). If these ideas wouldn't be published, I hope at least that the extra highschool manga (that Isayama wrote) would be animated as an ova or a movie.
I think you really captured what makes this series so amazing. People complaining about the issues with the ending is very understandable but I also think that they're missing the point here. The ending hardly did the amount of damage they claim it did only stubbornness keeps these views alive. I think it's exactly as you described it, the Rumbling was to me the true climax of the series. Everything after that is just a means to an end. The things that made this series great are still there and will always be there.
I've been watching every AoT analysis/retrospective video I can find for a long time now thus I can say with some authority that your video is at least as good as many of the ones out there with millions of views. You clearly have a gift for making these videos, I made sure to subscribe: I hope you continue to make new videos - if that is your goal I am sure you will blow up. Regardless of if it is or not I hope to see more from you
Great video. I think, by the sheer amount of foreshadow from the get go, that Isayama knew exactly where he was going. If something seemed too simple, or too one dimensional, that was for a reason, to give us a sense of familiarity and of comfort that was to be destroyed as the series progressed. I have never seen such an outstanding work of imagination. An incredible masterpiece.
I take this story way more simple than most people. Ymir was merged with an organism that converted her into a god of her future offspring. We all know that everything that happened, was gonna happen. Anything in between that they tried to make sense of, was just to cope and give closure to these events. Imagine all this happened and there was no narrative of why? The organism was seeking the survival of the fittest. Multiply and live on. Zekes explanation made me more confident at how simple it was. Eventually, Ymir wanted to be free, and Eren took her spot. That's what the outcome was and they had to make a narrative out of it. Thats why Eren was always a slave and couldn't change anything, and he hated it. He had no say so in anything except how the narrative would be portrayed. All to make sure when it was over, his friends were able to live as not a target. Because at that point, he couldn't see the future. But he is experiencing it for the first time watching over everyone. (Akuma no Ko shows me he is walking the earth like Ymir could) he eventually leads a subject of Ymir to the tree to attempt a revival of dominance after the island has been blown up. Remember the Manga, the kid looked and was dressed like Mikasa. With a similar scarf.
I wish I could go back to the moment when Eren came put of his titan for the first time because I remember being left with my mouth dropped, then of course I had to read the Manga as well but I watched the first season of Anime before the Manga...but that moment, especially since I'm good at catching twists, I was like wow, this show is going to avert any expectations I had for it and it exceeded with every season and book. However u feel about the ending, I liked it, I don't like a lot of things that people LOVE but personally I really liked the ending, the Anime fixed it. So many people LOVE Gabi and I hate her, I always hated her, she's annoying and she killed the food loving angel that is Sasha lol, unforgivable. Anyway, my two cents, just my opinion, thanks for this video I love hearing how others thought and felt.❤oh and I had to add, maybe this is a hot take but I don't like Historia either, I really don't. I loved Ymir and how she took care of her truly loved her, her transformation surprised me to
But the truth is, we need to look not at what the show could potentially do, but at what it has already done and how much influence it has brought to culture and media. This is a great work that showed people their true nature.
The ending was flawless. It tired up all lose ends. While Eren may want to do the rumbling, he had seen everything and knew moving forward was the only way. The series throw up that question, would you change the lever of a train heading to one you love the most, to 10 people tired up elsewhere?
Theres a lot of sections in this video where i had to re-record and by the final recording my throat was pretty strained 😅, honestly its also because im typically quiet person so speaking somewhat loudly is a first for me.
Aot masterpiece goes beyond the canon material like the anime and manga to. The doujin of aot fanmade ending it's also can be consider a massive hit and sucess. The ending of aot are divisive and controversial even lead to the mangaka to appologise and keep silent to avoid futher damage plus the anime slighty change the ending and change the dialogue in the final episode to do damage control. But reaction from fans is the thing that set it different than other anime in my opinion. Fans making alternate ending after the official ending of a series isn't new. Both naruto and bleach have their own fanmade ending because they felt dissatisfied tho only aot so far that has a huge hit in their comunity with the alternate ending that they bring.
It’s am masterpiece to me as well, it’s got an 8.9 rating so most people felt the same you can dislike it all you want, unfortunate that you didn’t feel the same love for the story’s end as we did.
Sounds like buddy made this video on 1 HP.
Kinda like that vid where the bloke had a dip at that chick working at the coffee shop speaking sarcastically
Oh shoot I thought that this was some kinda rlly popular video with hundreds of thousands of views but it isn't best of luck to ya

AoT is the perfect onion. Each time you removed a layer you got your answer, but that answer comes with 20 more questions.

Its insane that some people don't consider aot to be one of the best if not the best anime of all time

How to write anti-war story without showing how war is horrible.
Showing all dark side of humanity to show Love is more important.
Where did you get the coloured freedom panel in the thumbnail? It’s really cool
Colored it myself 😅
U are wrong about S01 chief watch it again plz 😡
Season One is super underrated to me. I do not see where you're coming from at all.
