He's talking about the Valentine's day shooting at the high school in broward county. He's crazy but he was upset that the cops there hasn't gotten to that man/kid before he went back to his old high school and killed a bunch of kids....
He did seem to really care about that. He may have his issues, but I THINK that this shows he has a good heart deep down, he just needs to get some help. I hope he does.
He expected the cops to do magic and prevent the deaths. Everyone can relate. After a killing we all think about what could/should have been done.

Alcohol is a truth serum. It brings out a lot of unresolved thoughts, feelings and emotions. He is being honest, and he does need help. He simply doesn't know how to ask for it. I think deep down he is a great guy. He's an alcoholic, and he needs addiction treatment and help for his depression. I pray he received what he so desperately needed.

I think this why they should have social workers working for the police department. After the police made initial contact he could/should be referred to the social worker with the police.
Also, we should increase the pay of social workers as an incentive to have more people in the position and to lessen the burden on case loads

I am really thankful for the cops on Live PD - I realize this is edited, and this is filmed with views in mind, and yes, their behavior (cops & citizens) is affected by the sight of recording cameras. However, I do believe that [MOST OF] the cops on Live PD are trying to do right by their county, and their citizens. I am so glad that they decided to talk to this man, rather than take the knowledge they have on him from the past and make a decision on his behalf. Talking to him, obviously he wanted someone to talk to. He wants someone to be held accountable. I genuinely feel for this man. We all know the system has corruption; I felt like he was begging them to just do their jobs... which of course, they are/do. I think it meant something to him to hear from the officers that the county did have someone in custody over the shooting.

Sometimes, when you just need to talk they're the best ones to call. I've done it twice over the years, they show up and just listen.

This is why the US needs police reform, this is not their job (or shouldn't be). social workers, community cops even as a midway point are crucial. That, with free education, health care and mental health services would literally make USA a god tier country that people in other developed nations would be envious of.
