    Prawn & Vermicelli Pot Recipe
    Ingredient (Serves 4)
    10 x King Prawns
    3 x 50 g glass noodles - geni.us/MVfSSw
1 sprig of spring onions (sliced around 3-4 cm)
    1/4 onion
    small knob of ginger, sliced
    3 cloves garlic, minced
    coriander
1 tbsp Knorr Supreme Chicken Stock - geni.us/MbZugSh
    1 tbsp Knorr Liquid Seasoning
    1 tbsp Chinese cooking wine - geni.us/685VO
    1 tbsp light soy sauce
    1 tsp Knorr Chicken Power - geni.us/TMOg
    Instructions
    1. Soak vermicelli in water until soft
    2. slice up ginger, mince up garlic and dice up onions
    3. Clean and devein prawns and remove prawn heads.
    4. Heat up oil on medium heat and stir fry prawns (not the prawn heads) until around 70% cooked.
    5. Remove prawn from pan, and add garlic, ginger, onions, spring onions and prawn heads into pan and stir fry for a a minute. Then add a tablespoon of chinese cooking wine
    6. Add a cup of water into the pot, followed by 1 tbsp of Knorr supreme chicken stock, 1 tbsp Knorr Liquid Seasoning, 1 tbsp light soy sauce and a teaspoon of sugar.
    7. Give the mixture a stir to make sure everything is well combined, then add vermicelli into the pot.
    8. Use chopsticks to move the vermicelli around the pot, making sure the noodles are not stuck to each other / the bottom of the pot.
    9. add the prawns (body) back into the pot, add some coriander, and put a lid on the pot to let it steam in it's own heat for about 10 minutes.
    10. ENJOY the prawn & vermicelli pot with rice!

Hey Janice... coming at you from the state of Pennsylvania in the USA (again... I've been here before). I really enjoy absolutely every one of your videos that you share with us... (and when I remember to go to Instagram... those too).. my ABSOLUTE favorites are ones with your family in them. No matter how focused you may be on all the other videos you post... one can tell that you... Janice... are most at home with and comfortable with the family. I adore this about you. Thank you for an awesome video and for sharing your family with us.

Early morning greetings from California. I loved this vid as I can totally relate as an elder Cantonese (Young at heart). I have cooked similar dishes with my Mom and we always used the shrimp heads too. Your Mom is so cute and a great cook. Learn as much as you can from her. Chinese eyeballing measurements is the best way to cook. Thanks again for "sharing" your meals with us. I miss my family gatherings and it warms my heart to vicariously be with you and yours. 🤗❤️😋👍👍Can't wait to meet your kitty! 😻

Delicious food. Knorr chicken powder is one of my favourite seasonings. I wish more Knorr products were available here in Sydney! Their prawn stock cubes are amazing. Used to go all the way to a Portuguese shop in Petersham to buy them, but alas no longer available.
I see some Knorr product on Amazon, but not the ones I want.
And yes… Eastwood traffic is a shocker. Lived here all my life and it’s no joke.

I absolutely prefer Vermicelli prepared dry over a soup based dish. It's got the best texture when it's fried.

The shopping and cooking was fun. Really enjoyed the dishes. Looked professional. Especially like the lobster/noodles and the tofu pork fritters, but all looked great. Excellent video. Thank you all. If the shrimp is deep fried I eat the tail and all.

How's the food at 888 compared to Rising Sun & price wise? I've been to Rising Sun & Yummy Seafood a few times but haven't tried 888 , but after this video might give them a try.
Good to see your family in the video again 😄👍

Just checked your mum’s sweet & sour ribs recipe. Can you explain what are King Ribs? I’ve never gone to Chinese butcher and seen the name ‘king ribs’, how do we find it? Also what is Green Ginger Wine? What is the Chinese name? Thank you. I’m so looking forward to try your mum’s recipe. I’m shanghainese and sweet & sour ribs is our stable, but your mum’s look epic!
