Mmm… but if he's British, he'd be pronouncing his name d-AR-by 😁 Seriously though, many thanks for this series. It's been a wonderful journey. Like visiting a lot of old (and more recent) friends. Keep doing what you do, John. For me, at least, it's brilliant. Cheers up my world. More power to you.
I've long felt that Falkenstein captures a quality of 'charm' - whatever that means - in a way that's rare in rpgs. I'm not sure how well I like the core resolution rules. But the magic rules - with their energy harmonics, side effects, etc - have stuck with me as an inspiration for magic that feels like it's about something rather than just artillery.
One of my favorite memories from college was in 1994, when I bought both this game and Wraith the Oblivion 1E from the Compleat Strategist in NYC. I went to the Espresso Lounge, found a chair, and read both of them cover-to-cover until it got dark.
Happy New Year, wish you and all the gang all health, wealth and good luck in life. I feel super grateful for this series, wich doesn't revolutionize only my notion on possibilities but also, and mainly, made a better human. And we all know that better humans tell better stories and better stories are the fun and cure our souls need so much. Really touched here, and really grateful.
What a way to end this series (for 2020), Falkenstein is an awesome game! Really hope you'll talk more and more in-depth about these and other games, John! 🥂
Sad to see this series end since it was so great to hear from you. I love rpg recommendations and especially hear your un-reviews of them and their design. Can't wait to see what you do next!
I wanted to thank you. 202 was hard for me and your channel helped get me through it. I found you on your old 7th Sea Start Set run on Nerdist and from there discovered this channel. I loved watching your Playing Dirty series and this 31 day character challenge has inspired me to get things ready for when me and my friends could get back together. Maybe even try a new game.
This has been a really fun series to follow. I’ve seen some oldies I’ve never really known anything about and some newbies I’ve been curious about. It’s made me tempted to try making some characters for games I’ve had for years and not really cracked open yet.
Thank you so much, good Sir, for this series. It made me discover sooo many new RPGs, and made me fall in love with old ones as well. ❤ A happy new year to you and your loved ones!

Been a great journey and a wonderful change from 2020
Love that you mentioned 'The Difference Engine' when you talked about Steampunk! ❤️❤️
Happy New Year, John!! 🎉

I played this game when it was new. Absolutely loved it, but haven't had a chance to play again.

You're welcome!
You really channeled Ken Hite to a certain extent on this one. Nice!

This was a great series. Thanks. Hair looks great. Happy New Year!!
Happy New Year to you, Mr Wick! And thanks a lot for this awesome journey around all this games ❤️
Fun series this! Thanks John. Oh, and that "Secret Society" journal looks really cool. Are they for sale somewhere?
Ok Mr Wick, where do I get the shirt?
It was made for me, alas.
@@JohnWickPresents Well I would complain but you did create the O'Bannon.
Did I miss the 7th Sea character?
Only games made by other people.

Edit: Ah! It seems d6 Star Wars is missing from the playlist!
