Depends on the squad update you have, Neymar Jr might still be at PSG so check there as well if you can't find Neymar at Al Hilal. Usually on default the squads you have is the one from the start of the game, at that point Neymar Jr was not updated to Saudi League yet. It's good to regularly update the latest squads from settings - edit teams - download updates. EA updates players and their stats/playstyles regularly based on performances. For example lately CR7 got Trickster playstyle. Rafael Leao got 5-star skill moves update. Even the controversial Man Utd loanee at Getafe got upgrade based on latest performances.

Completely agree. It's stupid & lazy from EA. They've botched many aspects on the practice arena, for example the sounds are completely bugged. Sounds do not work most of the time. I kinda wish they'd bring back the old outdoor arena as well, at least it worked properly.

Perhaps EA was just lazy with it, and they'll make it better into FC 25 just to have some "new feature" or quality of life improvement - especially since the game is always essentially the same between iterations. EA usually leaves some necessary changes just to the next version, because they need new content to justify selling a new game even if it's 99% the same game. But it'd be so easy to just put the Change arena Player/Team to the arena itself, under Options button.
It's due to him being long-term injured currently. EA has live squads feature, so he is not even on the bench because of his injury. The first 11 starting team sheet gets updated from week to week, if you are connected to EA servers. You have to edit him to the team sheet if you want to use him, it's why I included that section in this video. Honestly the practice arena player change thing is done very poorly by EA. This is quite literally one of the worst designed games I’ve ever played. I’m on PC and it glitches starting up. Settings menus are glitched. Practice drills are glitched. I mean like I literally can’t even navigate the menus. Practice arena is so confusing and inefficient. Once you change your team you still can’t even tell who’s who. One time I played a game in seasons and both my opponent and I had no control over our teams. We both just sat there and watched the AI play eachother until I was booted for being idle even though I was trying to engage the entire time. On top of that defending is impossible, trying to manually change to a specific player is infuriating and doesn’t work, and the AI is stupid. I’ve seen defenders I’m not in control over literally just stand still and not move while the ball is being dribbled past them. Idk when they’ve had 20 years to work on this game, it’s somehow getting worse year after year. I’m truly in disbelief.
It truly has hilarious aspects of game design. While I haven't experienced glitches on PC, just sometimes the menus bug due to mouse taking over and controller is not working anymore. I agree with the hardness of telling who's who on the arena. That's why I usually go to edit player tab and give them unique boots + wrist bands so I actually recognize the player. I often try out the same players on arena I have on Ultimate Team, and give them the intended chemistry boost I'm using. But all this should be done to the FUT mode so player's shouldn't need to do this manually. There's loads of potential for improvement, but I doubt they make these better. For the defender changing try to change this controller setting: Right Stick Switching to Classic. With this setting the switching actually works well and doesn't automatically suddenly change the player to someone not intended. Defending has always been nightmare before changing that, and that setting is not Classic on default. PS. Controller settings are now in the Game Settings tab inside settings.
You must go to a gameplay match, for example inside Ultimate Team or kick off, and then open Trainer and turn them all off. Then they will be off on the arena. However, in Skill Games section you can't turn the trainer button tips off. Those are always on, unfortunately.
Yeah and people inevitably lose reflexes and reaction time when they get older. I believe that in FIFA younger people have edge, just like in FPS games. But of course anyone can be competitive.

Go to game settings and to audio tab and have these: Stadium Ambience Volume 10 Menu Music Volume 0 Works only in the practice modes, as in a match the audience sounds will usually overpower ball sounds.
For example by starting a Kick Off match and then exiting it back to the menu. This random rolls you a new stadium. Simply enter any match and go back to menu and you'll get a new stadium. There's at least 5 realistic stadiums as the arena.
when you enter the arena, the game tells you the instructions for how to move or add the players. There's a instruction box & text in the lower middle of the screen, try looking what it says so you get it working. For me on PC with a PS controller I must press options and share (the old Select button) to get the arena going. And I can add or remove players with the cross & shoot button. I must say that the arena was better in FIFA 23, in FC 24 they've made it too complex with changing players and everything.

haven't tried it myself, so not sure is it possible. But you could try to put the player to your favorite team, then place that player to the starting 11 team sheet. If it is possible, then they'll appear on the arena.
the arena is in FIFA 23, and it's easier to use. You can enter it from play modes - quickplay modes. Before entering the practice arena, you can choose any player from the submenu.
You must transfer them to the same team. You can do this from Settings - Edit Teams - Club Transfers. Also you can just reset all squads to initial squads. At the start of FC 24 Neymar was still at PSG, so with reseted squads you should have Mbappe & Neymar at PSG (unless it has been changed). But with manual transfers you can essentially create the same team as you have in Ultimate Team, and then can practice with it on the arena. Remember to save the adjusted squads to your profile section, as the squads will reset to latest update always when you connect to EA servers. Saving them makes you able to load the squads with 1 click.

On practice arena you can press Options button and there you can choose free kick practice from the drop-down menu. Now you can set up any free kick scenarios you want to. It's decent way to practice free kicks, however in FUT moments game mode there's weekly free kick practice moments game. I think that's a better place to practice free kicks because it's a real gameplay situation that you can practice with your real team (if you play Ultimate Team).
It might be hard to spot which players they are, as there's no names visible. But this is why I often edit boots + wrist bands so I can spot the correct players. You do this from Edit Players tab. Also if you haven't loaded squad updates, Neymar might be at PSG with the initial squads that the game started with.
You should have the same stadiums when you enter practice arena in FC24. There's 6 different stadiums random rolled. Exit the game OR enter a kick off match, and you'll get a new stadium random rolled.
Neymar Jr should be in Saudi league & Al Hilal team. He also might be at PSG if your game doesn't have latest squad updates. FC 24 started with Neymar still being at PSG.

Changing the arena player is definitely poorly done. They could improve this mode so much. For example it could load your FUT team to the arena, it wouldn't be hard to implement. But for starters the basics should be easy, just like in past FIFA games it was easy to play with any player. Now it's annoying to change the player.
I definitely agree, especially the team sheet editing is stupid. There should be a sub-menu below the practice arena where you choose the team/player, exactly like in past FIFA iterations. Or even better; while on arena we should be able to change team/player from the Options button. Also this new arena has tons of bugs, needs so much polishing.

Indeed, especially with the new women players in FUT most would think of trying them out. But the hoops you need to jump to change the player is indeed stupid. Should be able to just search type the name and the player would pop into the arena. But the new arena otherwise definitely is an improvement due to being able to create scenarios of your own choice. Hopefully they keep on improving it, also the Ultimate Team mode should have its own arena where players could be tried out / could practice with your team.
EA could do so much better. But perhaps they're trying to improve now since some new competition has emerged. They even introduced a new feedback portal. It's probably good to give them feedback on things you hope to improve 👍 they might actually add some of them.

For some players Neymar is still at PSG, for some reason. But with latest squad updates you should have the players on the right teams.
