    What I really like about Russian mechanics is that they actually repair the original car parts. They disassemble the part and fix the problem to reduce costs. As for the rest of the mechanics, they just replace the parts with new ones without any trouble or difficulty.

      If you think that mechanics just install a new part and it’s done.
      Tell me again how you’ve never known or been a mechanic 😂

    • @deeznutz5825
      @deeznutz5825 2 місяці тому

      Its largely what they're working on and how much they get paid, most people would rather pay the mechanic a little to install a brand new part they bought instead of a lot to spend time repairing the old one before installing it, in America the mechanics cost more and the parts are harder to repair or even illegal to repair/replace thanks to the dmca(the same copyright thing that youtubers hate).

      As a former mechanic, the shop I worked at would rebuild stuff like transmissions, but by the time labor and parts was calculated it cost about the same as a remanufactured unit and he couldnt give as good of a warranty as they could

    • @giggiddy
      @giggiddy 2 місяці тому +4

      In the States. Almost every gas station had a couple bays and a real mechanic or two. It was normal for them to rebuild starters, alternators, and turn drums and rotors when they did brakes. Now none of them employ a mechanic. Those were simpler and arguably better days. Depending on how things go in the world economy over the next few years. We may go back to rebuilding everything to some extent.

    Please do a video of different materials that could be used as engine gaskets. My Great Grandfather would use cardboard from cereal boxes for his own car. He was a mechanic his whole life, aircraft mechanic in ww2, and worked for GM all the time i was able to know him. I was very young when he passed, so I dont know how many times he had to replace the gaskets, but as far as I know they lasted enough to consider it to be worth it.

    Next make a hollow compressed air tank bumper with air fittings and customise an ac pump and clutch to give it on the roll air for air tools or lift bags. Bags can be quick inflated from exhaust then final lift with the air from tank in bumper. Best thing is bag can roll up in back or go on the jz trailer with some mudders :)

    Disconnect the main battery so the frame isn't grounded, and put the positive of the remote batt pack to the starter frame and neg. to the power wire. Maybe pull all the fuses to be safer.
