I find it hilarious that the Jester is implied to be the only one to die while on a mission. Everyone else died some other way.

@@kirkknightofthorns6822 watch other darkest dungeon animatics on the autor's channel and you will see that HWM and grave robber share quite a bit of screen time toghether and also I think the community in general by looking at simmilarities between the two made it a ship and for Dismas's and Reynauld's relations, I think that it is more of a bromance instead of a romance
I like to think Reynauld gave Dismas that symbol of light and Dismas kept it despite being an atheist because he cared about his Knightly friend.

@@nathanielthomson6600 In game, there are some charecters who are marked as "Religious" and those who aren't. Dismas isn't marked as religious, but thats about as far as it goes.

I love how wholesome this concept is. Like, it's super dark in that all these heroes died and the afterlife is dark and lonely, but instead of dragging Dismas down to join their misery, they use their suffering to encourage him to enjoy his life because it will suck so much when he joins them. Comradery beyond death, and hope under the shade of horror.

I love the amount of body language and personality you give the Adventurers.
I'm seeing a pattern in games (both mine and others) where Reynauld dies but Dismas lives to the end. I know it's just chance but I think that's pretty interesting.

@Rae That's probably on the mark. It might also be she's afraid of being buried alive. It used to happen a lot, she probably sees a lot of evidence of it in her job, and it's a very horrifying thought. Notice she says "fall" not "die," so she might be hoping they wait a little while and give her a chance to turn out alive before they bury her.

The poor Grave Robber, thrice a victim. The debts took her livelihood, I took her life by sending her to battle powerful eldritch abominations, and now, uncountable years later, someone took everything from her grave.
@@nessesaryschoolthing It was a common phobia in Victorian times. Some of the wealthy would even pay to have a system rigged up that tied a string to their finger that lead to a bell on their grave, so if they were mistakenly buried alive, they could call for help.

@@tomatazoo All town events are random. For this one, you need to have at least 3 dead heroes in graveyard and have at least 1 space on the roster to trigger the Res Event. I hope you don't lose a lot of heroes though lol.

Every single character's design looks spectacular! Love the expressions too, even the faceless crusader somehow gets his emotions across!
Maybe becouse he was given eyebrows that are outside of the armor like in some cartoons
I like how there's very little official correlation between Highwayman and Crusader, but they'll forever be known as THE Dismas and Reynauld. To that extent... Are we ever going to get a Guy Love animatic? The song from Scrubs.

Depending on how you read the origin comics, Dismas may be unintentionally responsible for the deaths of the wife and son that Reynauld abandoned. Neither of them would have any idea of course, but that makes their fraught partnership all the better.
@@loquaciousjango4214 I actually got into this with a friend of mine and we went through the breakdown of how they're not the same woman and child. The age of the son in relation to the mother is different based upon height, and the living conditions of the two were entirely different. Reynald's family lived in a tiny cottage on farmland. They're peasants. Not the kind of people with the money to hire a stagecoach and dress as nicely as the woman in the coach. The hair color is difficult to discern based upon lighting, but it seems like it's different.

The moment I checked him during the boss fight, is the moment I realized he had no trinkets on him so all quest long it's his: tough, luminous and hard skinned quirks was all he had. Shame he tanked 4 deathblows from the shuffling horror before I could get my afflicted occultist to heal him for 0 then its the bleed drawback of the heal killed him T-T

I finally saw all of Beeltejuice just yesterday, my timing is impeccable! Also, h o l y s h i t this is so good! The rotating scenes are so smooth, and everything is timed so well with the song! Absolutely outstanding!

I am both scared and intrigued because the grave robber is one of the better looking characters in DD so there is rule 34 for her but knowing the nature of the game it may not be pleasant.

I liken dismas to my brother and reynauld to me, but funny enough after I watched this he asked me to go to the store with him and I was gonna stay home once again, but watching this , its lesson learnt .I went with him and I am grateful for having him ^-^
After the the battle against the ringmaster and her circus, there were casualties. Those who survived moved on to the next Chronicles of their life.
As for Dismas, feeling hopeless over everything. Looking at a picture of when he was happy, Dismas couldn't bare to reconnect with Reynauld after everything, he still couldn't forgive himself. As he sits in a cemetery in self-pity, the ghosts of the heroes have found absolution, helped resolve Dismas and his issues. The Highwayman no longer feels sorry for himself. Instead, Dismas resolved his stress and patches things up with Reynauld and their friendship by visiting him and brings a bottle of booze for them to share, talk, and reconnecting.
