I supported the Kickstarter campaign when these were first announced, as I really was looking for a trench style watch. Vario did not disappoint in my opinion. The quality and looks, especially with the enamel dial, is really stunning. Thanks for reviewing this!
I recently received my brass version about one month ago and I love it! Great video for upcoming interested buyers, especially coming from a vintage watch enthusiast.
Congratulations on being considered by a company to review their watch. I hope more opportunities like this come along to complement your vintage watch reviews.
Beautiful watch. I would always desire those vintage microbrands and guess that will fill my urge to buy one of those. Huge thanks for letting me know that brand!
nice review! i like wire lugs on the old watches because swapping bands is a breeze. and i guess i prefer the look of the Bund strap over 2 piece straps. its nice knowing small companies are still out there making great watches. now if only the dropshipping scam watches would stop stealing business away from real manufactures things would be even better lol.
Imho, my old west end watch sillidar is still better... Unitas movement, enamel dial, fire-blued hands... The casing is chromed base metal, though... 33 mm diameter, 12mm thick... 😅 I got it 10 years ago for around US60 (idr 1 million)… ✌🏽️
Fair enough. :-) I enjoy wearing my 1915 Omega Trench from time to time. But I always have that sense of worry behind my head not to drop/bang it (since it has no shock resistance balance) by accident and stay away from moisture, as the case is not water resistant. With this Vario, and only for $388, I can have peace of mind wearing it in any circumstances.
Honestly, the warranty is there only to look good. If you're unlucky, a new watch will most likely show issue of some sort within the first year. Otherwise, it will last for many years before you need to have it serviced.
Excellent review and camera shots! You sold me:)
Happy to hear! :-)

Couldn't agree more!
Thanks for the feature!
My pleasure! Thank you for making it possible. 😁

Nice! I haven't done any reviews on a brass watch before, but I bet they must look really nice in person.
I now proudly own two Vario’s both trench type, one I’ve got the guard on and the other the medic type, they are superb timepieces. Super video.
Nice!
For the price and the quality, I don't think there is a better mechanical example to compare with.

Thank you! It's always an honour to get the opportunity to support and create content for these microbrand companies.
I have this exact same watch. It is fantastic. The leather bund strap is amazing quality.
This is very good content and I would enjoy more like this, if it stays in line with the overall vintage theme of the channel.
I would say if you have a wrist size of 7 inches or less, stick to the 37mm version.

My pleasure!
I must have this! But so many dial and band choices! Aarg!
😆
Great video!! I love the look of the watch
Thanks for the vid much appreciated.
lv the look of the Vario, very good !!!
Going to check out there website
Then you will definitely enjoy what they have to offer on their site. :-)
Likely still the best trench homage. The price increase gives me pause however.
I think it is still reasonable. Don't forget that the price of everything has gone up this past year as well.
I think you are getting an awful lot of watch for the money.
You dont "shake" and automatic watch, you turn it using wrist actions, gently.
Sure! As long as it works for you my friend. :-)

That's super cool!
It is a cool piece, and if you visit their website you'll be amazed by their selection!
I really like the Oris Big Crown 1917 but I like to have a seconds hand on my watch.
The Oris Big Crown 1917 is beautiful. But you're right; without a center or small second looks odd on a trench-type watch or most watches.
Muito bonito, e ainda com assessórios para proteção.
Belo relógio, e tem ainda uma estória para acompanhar o modelo
Thank you so much for the comment and kind words. 😁

1 year warranty doesn’t inspire confidence! Just saying.

Good review, good design and good price.
I love the look of your grandfather’s Zenith the dial is in great condition, enamel?
@@velviaman3206 Thank you! My Zenith's dial is not enamel, but my Omega is.
No confidence 'cause 1year warranty? Buy a Casio! 😂
I don't expect any issues, but I can understand why people won't be happy with a 12 month warranty.
Nice watch, but it just doesn't do anything for me
Haha, it's all good.
That's his loss.
