Can you explain why your sound always contain that short going up glide at the beginning? I didn’t noticed you doing anything to make it happen but it does. I am not able to programm it on my DX7 mk2. Please let me know
Hi Krystian, good question! That effect is caused by the Pitch Envelope. You can hear the difference as I play the patch for bit before applying the Pitch EG. ua-cam.com/video/xUpK0k8rFVw/v-deo.html
I'm not sure how to accomplish this on the DX7II though.
Thank you, last night I tried to create the same effect and finally I get it by myself via EG, but i still think about your Shimmer Pad. I can notice, that this glide appears there sometimes, but it doesn’t affect the release. Only attack.
Correct, on Shimmer Pad I don't use the Pitch EG I use Portamento which is why it only affects the attack and not the release. I'm you got the Upside Down patch working correctly, well done!
madFame I tried to use portamento, but on my DX7iiFD it works only while using mono mode. In poly it doesn’t affect anything. Is there something I need to do before programming portamento to make it work?
