  • We show several examples of finding undefined points associated with rational functions by looking for x-values that make factors in the denominator equal to zero. We also discuss how to find zeros of rational functions by looking for x-values that make factors in the numerator equal to zero. If a factor, say (x-A) appears in both the numerator and denominator of a rational function, there will be a hole in the function with an x-coordinate of A. This video should be particularly helpful for students in algebra 2 and precalculus.
