I got the most distance out this kick. In warm up at practice, I kicked from the goal square and landed at the centre bounce area. Another version of the drop kick was the stab pass.

I don’t understand why the place kick isn’t used for kicks at goal within 30 metres in a 45 degree arc. Almost impossible to miss.

Your drop kick technique is terrible.
I was lucky enough to play both aussie rules and rugby.
Strike the ball with inside arch of your foot when performing a drop kick.
