I seen another dude on youtube tother day ... instead of a floor/wall mount maintainance stand his was mounted to the ceiling ... sickest idea ever ... no wasted floor space ..
Sell the golf an sell the polo an just take ur bikes sick plcs in the van an do sick stuff. Funny episode loved the otb an why don't u use a camelbak or similar on day's like this? Spine protection an drink, no-brainer 4me✌
Couple of suggestions if you're doing longer rides... Flatten your seat out more it'll help you on the climbs, gives you more support and a better body position. Take loads of water, more than you think, it took me years to realise I wasn't drinking enough. Isotonics in the water helps too Take snacks... I eat loads on a longer ride, again took me years to realise I wasn't eating enough and my energy was dropping off. Get the app what3words if you break yourself in the middle of nowhere you can use it to direct the emergency services to where you are.
I used to race XC marathons. your comment probably sums up best, the essentials for long-distance riding. Especially the seat position, since a guy can fuck up his balls/prostate forever by riding with it at a too steep angle for long distances. #CrushedNutsArentFun
Love your videos friend. Big fan of your commentary while riding because conditions don’t always translate well on the GoPro. Your enthusiasm is contagious. Thanks bro. 👍
I have a DH fork on my Nomad and it feels amazing. I got the idea from you and sent you a pic of it on insta. Your vids are amazing and you have improved so quickly at DH!!! Never stop making mtb videos Harry!
Love all the mtb videos! Been a fan a long time. One of the best box riders out there, but you are a mountain biker! When you love single track for the reasons you stated, and love pedaling up,that says it all. Single track really is amazing, it’s like meditation ! Hope life is good for you! Keep getting lost in the woods!
Yo Harry! Very stoked to see you enjoying climbing technical stuff, it is quite satisfying to clear those things ain't it! Also stoked on you enjoying life, good on you! Good luck on the bike work area, looking forward to see it (just getting my own ready and it feels so good getting stuff sorted)!
Harry you need to start using Strava to record your bike rides then you can check how many miles you have done and how fast you done a section of trail 👍
The gisburn loop makes you work for your fun but its rewarding to do it :) good to see you loving my local trails so much you seem to keep coming back for more
Dream line is open at Revs looking forward to seeing you hit that👌. Will be there Sunday to have a look😆. And Guisborough woods has some good fast tracks.
Great bit of work Harry. I'm still riding a Trek Y22 I bought in 1994. Bit of a triggers broom but still the same bike in my head! May not have masses of travel but you dont need that when your climbing big hills. Copes with what a 61 year old throws at it.
You should ride CUTGATE soon too, one of the best natural trails in the country! start at Langsett Reservoir, theirs loads of maps online etc, it's well worth checking out! For shoes id stick with 5Ten and as far as bags go the bontrager rapid pack bum bag is incredible.
Do Gisburn quite a lot but still get loads from watching you ride the lines, great vids as always especially when you leave the sketchy bits in, that's where learning happens and it's good to see 👍
Was just watching your recent rides and was thinking is Harry going to ride Gibsurn anytime, then boom next vid! Great area where we live! Loving the mtb vids again, keep up the good content!
Yes Harry Lad, those climbs are a bit of a killer eh, and I'm pretty sure I've gone over the bars in that exact same place 🤣 Great to see you in such a positive place 🤟👍
The sixsixone filter flat pedal shoes are incredible just got some myself a few months back defo would buy again. What ever the sole is made out of is insane on the pedals works so well.
1. Level that saddle = more pedal power & will make be stop squirming 2. Adjust saddle height so your leg is straight and heal is on the far side of pedal. This way its max power when you are seated and pedaling 3. Next, try clipless - great on the rough stuff, a little more power (riskier for jumps) 4. Santa Cruz Blur 29er
I use the Camelbak chase vest and have had it for about a year and it’s sooo comfy and super durable perfect for hot rides when bigger packs are just unbearable
Shoe Recommendations: Sidi Dominators if/WHEN you try clipless (that could be a series - you might love it, you grinder!). Try them on at a shop, I promise you will leave with a pair (I did, and I was shopping for a handlebar :/, perfect retail experience ) Five-Ten FreeRider for Flats Please, get that Saddle LEVEL, the tip pointed up is making me squirm and wince just thinking about it...ouch. Also, the saddle will help you push backwards a bit vs sliding you off the back = more pedal power!! You might be able to ride a LONGER dropper post - its why I went Santa Cruz, lots of clearance back there.
Yoo I come from bmx now riding mtb I had the same problems as you finding the right bike to throw around just wanted to add going back to your dropper hight I would also have your seat flat/flatter I had mine the same on a tilt and just no good for hill climbing hope this helps
Hi Harry, I forgot to mention on your other video that when you have you saddle is risen your leg should be fully extended with each turn of the crank. Good riding mate keep it up!
I like the strategy of going faster and that it doesnt feel as knarly kinda like floating over the rocks,I noticed it before myself aswell its fairly sick!! only bad thing is when it does go wrong at more speed it also fucks you up more!! 😂😵😂
Great vid as always!! Are you gonna let go of the modshop and car stuff and transform everything into an mtb workplace? I kinda miss the car mods but I'm really enjoying the mtb content aswell!!
Hey man love the vid and a huge huge fan, but gisburn is my local hound and I was never aware of the short cut from hully gully to the top of Hope line, I always end up from hully gully to the bottom of hole and pushing back up 🤮 could you please give me a pointer exactly which way you done that? It would make all the difference I’m sure !! Cheers bro keep up the good work and stay safe 👍🏻
amazing to see u back in Gisburn man glad u took note and went back to ride hully gully for the vlog :D although on camera it just doesn't do it justice of how good it is!! That crash 2 unlucky man its a bitch that, the amount of times iv had my wheel just catch between 2 rocks n flip me lol lost count man take it easy bro safe riding have fun !!!!
Stick with the five tens or adidas terrex with the stealth grip sole and a camebak mule is perfect for short or all day rides. Loads of pockets and lets ur back breath.
Nice one, liking the trail vids. Hire a ebike dude. It’s another level enjoyment. Have a go on a levo on that terrain. I’ve got a specialized levo and enduro and the enduro just collects dust. I can’t leave the levo alone. They roll down hill faster and up hill unreal.
Harry I know it is a treck for you but I would love if u went to winlater near Keswick it is a really good fast pace trail centre with 3 trails two red 1 blue but trust me it is worth it it is very fast and flowy
Love trail riding its the best, keeps you super fit,you wanna hit up Dalby forest near York,or Sherwood forest has a sick park, loving the content Harry smash that like button people!!!!!!!!.
Going to start building a legit MTB workspace in the next week or so, any ideas welcome!!
I seen another dude on youtube tother day ... instead of a floor/wall mount maintainance stand his was mounted to the ceiling ... sickest idea ever ... no wasted floor space ..
Wash area
I was at gisburn 3 weeks ago and it was sick! hully gully and simons swamp are amazing, great to see you hit the trails i've been too!

Jelly babies and peanuts used to come with me or a protein bar. 1.5 - 2l water in a camelbak is easily consumed aswell 👍

Level your saddle buddy...will be way more comfortable 🤘😁
Aaron Hedger he does a lot of jumps so you want it to be angled up as downhill bikes are like that aswell
@@olimoss5004 but he's doing enduro not downhill. He said he needs to sit down more at the start
