Firms love them as you both can make a killer team. Get your processes down and practice prior to deployment. Plan out how you are going to schedule files, keep track of them, your inspection process, etc. We are shooting a Parrot Key “Roundtable” discussion tonight. These 30min - 1 hour episodes should be perfect for you. We will be talking about adjusting in its entirety. Great advice will be given during these sessions. Does your macro have mitigation scenarios?

Neil, can I import my macros from X1 to Mobile?
Yes!
Your macros should automatically sync in there, the only thing you may need to do is delete and re-download the app, that is how to re fresh your macros on the app from when you want to transfer them from you desktop. Make sure to send any files in your local page on your mobile device to the cloud so you don't accidently delete a file. I have done that once, and you don't want to do that. lol

As for training, we plan on rolling out a training program next year. We don’t really have to bandwidth to get things rolling this year as we operate a firm in Florida full time along with many other things lol 😂 My life is madness. BUT, We planned on hitting the road next year March through May and hit a city every week to do a training. Followed by a digital training rolling out prior to storm season 2024.

@parrotkey I think we live close to each other.. I'm in Sarasota, Fl. I owned a roofing business in NC. It's my daughter's now. I am looking to get certified with xactimate. I used it in the roofing business, but it has been a while, but I'm getting back in it now. I'm looking to do it moble. Love your youtube channel.

I will say this, roof only estimates are the easiest part of all of this. Just need to build all of your roof macros for each type, add every line item you could ever find on a roof (vents, flashings, etc.) to each, then you are all set!! I like to pull a roof report prior to my inspection so I’m just plugging in quantities for each item.
