I just finished a long victory with Grom. Was fun. Had 0 allies.
And how many confederations?
Hectic I am still going to paint map, could have with the ever chosen and skarsnik, but got bored well doing it and wanted to try different playstyles
@@luckyflynt1646 none. The whole world hates grom. Haha.
@@Frosty04eb i mean thats not how greenskin confederations work you know? And who needs allies when the orc you defeated joins your faction?
Was playing coop with some friends as a team. As a joke they decided to declare war on everyone around me and drag me in at the start so wood elves, dwarves, all Brettonia, beast men, even Karl came over to kill me while they ignored each other and went for the player bias. It made for a challenging start, but goblin hordes with regeneration and armour upgrades from scrap upgrades made them invincible.
Before I knew it, it was turn 56 and the high elves and empire were virtually extinct, I had sacked and then raised all the wood elf trees for money, ikit claw my great ai ally provided me with some firepower through the outpost mechanic, Brettonia extinct, occupied around 60 settlements by my self and had a dozen goblin horde armies supported by ikits firepower.
It was a rough start but the comeback was insane and great fun. Groms great fun. Especially with the outpost mechanic allowing you get a few extra foreign units for variety. Goblin horde with regen + lord level ups for goblins + scrap upgrade + skaven firepower = great fun destroying any enemy.
Didn't even bother confederating any other orc factions.
damn that's strong
I did a this is a total War campaign with grom back in Warhammer 2, I took roughly 70-80 turns to actually get out of my starting zone (without losing ground instantly I mean) because the AI was SO angry at you in game 2
Nothing better than seeing goblin archers mow down dragons instantly with anti large arrows. Or if you get the explosive arrows they massacre infantry.
In my experience Grom is always fun to fight. More fun than Aelves & Lizards Which is something I'd expect from Orcs. Morathi next 🤙
not gonna lie these reviews have made me play the game a few times for the first times this year
I dont like Greenskins thematically much, but the cauldron is just so much fun. Whilst also being strong if you want it to be. Getting +8 to public order, or the goblins with exploding arrows. Just iconic. Easily the best Greenskin campaign out there. Unfortunately the others have nothing to live up to it. Everything they can do, Grom also can do just as well, or better.
Who doesnt like Greenskins just a little bit? Like not even as an enemy?
I always dislike OP stuff like the cauldron. Once you get it going you usually kind of start roflstomping. Thats why i tend to prefer vanilla campaigns like grimgors
@@gerardvermaat6944 Ever think of just not using the cauldron?
@@anon4854 ofcourse. Its not like i wont play grom because of the cauldron, but i probably wont use it if i do.
Best part about this game there are lots of different campaigns. Lots of choices
Wurrzag is pretty dope though
was just thinking about starting this campaign too. nice timing!
Was waiting for this review! I'd love to see how you tackle the first 20-30 turns or so.
Just happened to start this campaign today. Very fun.
Love these videos - so happy to see content from you. Can’t wait for the final release of IE out of Beta. Hope you’re doing well Legend. Thanks for all you do
one of best thing about him is it is easy to find top faction nearby for waagh target for best trophy as Tyrion most of time rank very first
I really appreciate this series it helps me with a choice for my next campaign.. Do orgre kingdom's please
Grom is definitely in my top 5 LL's in the game :) HUGE fan!
My one complaint is actually about me and my abilities :P I made an entire stack of summoning spiders and, when I finally had to manual the fight, lost horribly because I couldn't manage 20 summoners :P I'm still convinced that should have been a win though.
Did you use that spider Lord? I'm sure if you put some thought into it you could make a viable doomstack for LotW to check out. Let him worry about controlling 20 summoners.
@@sokar_rostau I did. Spiderclaw I think is the name. Unlocked from the tech tree.
Legendary lords tier ranking when? Great content as always!
Just started a first ever hard campaign with Grom. It's a lot of fun, but I decided to flip off Massif Orcal and did an exodus to Belegar's lands. Now I got a nice powerbase and a more even ground against elves.
Grom's campaign in a nutshell.
"Declare war on everyone the moment you meet them."
"WIN"
No! It's a cooking show! Grom Ramsey for life
Man i wish greasus was as good as grom
I want to love the ogres so much but greasus is just so mid. I love the ogre roster so much but greasus needs a buff for sure
@@redluke8119 My main problem with Greasus is that he is slow and Ogres are too big to attack the same target sometimes. But I don't think that we should expect everyone to be equally good.
@@thiagorodrigues5211 The problem though is that canonically he’s supposed to be one of the strongest, even besting Grimgor. Right now, he’s nowhere close to how he should be.
@@whitetiger85_60 But that's before he got obese, no? isn't he old and too fat now? I remember Grimgor was the one who killed him with his own scepter.
@@thiagorodrigues5211 Grimgor lost the fight and only lost after Greasus dropped his scepter and was going to bear hug him to death. Greasus is as strong as a Sky Titan.
EDIT: You’re right Grimgor did win, I may have made that less clear, but he lost the fight initially. Greasus ultimately lost because he was trying to humiliate Grimgor.
Thanks for the video
Was waiting for the THICC BOI review!
Really like the subtitles "let's jump to the wall here"
Grom's large and in charge, a culinary master and great at thwacking gits with his axe. Favorite Greenskin character for me.
makes me wonder what'd happen if grom and greasus met
Grom my beloved 😩 fattest of them all, one true goblin king 🥵
El intestino masivo Brings mean humour to a campaign
Loving this series! +1 for one of the Cathay factions in the next videos. Cheers
Grom was my first Greenskin Run. One thing I learned from my Belakhor Run, is don't even fight and occupy the first battle - just Turn 1, start rushing to start Confederating. Realize that CA programmed the game, where sometimes, the earliest Confederation you can get, is Level 5.
Settra during the holidays. You know the holidays pounds ad up.
Drunken unbreakable trolls are my absolute favorite, they are just so damn strong.
So many campaigns still haven't gotten around to doing any of the greenskins. They look so fun.
Ah yes, centigor milk...
Grom is the best greenskin. His bonuses are too crazy
I would love to see a live stream of this to around turn 70. It is quite the tricky spot since I get pulled into every direction and distracted from the High Elves. DO I finish off the wood elves, kill franz or push into Bretonian lands.I love the Greenskins after watching the hot seat campaign
Now Immortal Empires is a "you get it with WH3 always, and whatever DLC counts" thing, I reckon if they released it with "The Warden and the Paunch" it'd be a really well rounded game.
Essentially +Grom +Wurzag Greenskins, and +A.Anur (and Imrik etc I guess) High Elves.
It'd just flood the world campaign with interesting options and mechanics to play with.
Still, at least you can just get WH3 + 1 Lord Pack and it's a fairly good game now.
I would love to see a Boris Campaign
I'm waiting for some Grand Cathay review
Why doesn’t Grom’s army banner have red in it like it does on a settlement or on a hero? This bothers me way more than it should but I’ve never known why they did that.
My suggestion for folks is to not play Grom's campaign if you intend on playing other Greenskins campaigns--not until you've played the others first. Grom's is so much more fun than the others that he will make the others boring by comparison.
Also it is hilarious how absurdly strong Grom makes goblin units. Like a stack of basic goblin spearmen and archers become nearly free to upkeep and able to run through some very powerful armies
Instant click on Greenskins and Skaven campaigns
Please do Eltharion next
Morathi or Beligar Ironhammer next :D
im surprised you didn't even mention the wood elves, they give me such a headache
I miss where skarsnik was. I had all the legendary lords confederated turn 15 it was dope
His Great Immensity iz her'!
Sack a empire town to get a red fish and for that point on control wouldn't be a problem anymore.
Legend, I am not a native English-speaker. In long videos I have no problems with understanding you. Every word and every phrase. But in this series of short videos I have to hear it twice: everything is perfectly understandable, when one dives into this rate of speech, but it takes for me a minute to dive into this speech, and by the end of that minute I find that I completely missed your line and have to start video again.
In no way I advise you to change anything, because the community is diverse and I have not less pleasure to watch your short videos twice, but just to let you know.
PS Probably, it is also about the density of information. For the first minute, many foreigners do not perceive thoughts in the language they hear but translate them into their native language in their head and only after a minute dive into perceiving thoughts in the language they hear. And with this rate of speech this first minute is a problem: too much tasks for the brain. :)
PPS Specifically, in this video it was a bit easier than average.
Hell, I'd argue that without Grom's DLC greenskins just arent worth playing, those units make the orcs so much more fun! GIANT SMASHING LIVING ROCK WAAAGH ENERGY
Can you do Skarsnik as well? He's one of my favourite campaigns
"Later guys???" wtf is that outro line?? where is the See ya f@ckers??? are u getting old and polite Legend??
great video thank you for your time to make it.
Do Arkhan the Black!! >:D
The best run I ever had with Grom was back in 2 where I snipe Skarsnik then migrate down to the bad lands. The biggest problem they never fixed is you're yellow lands all over near you. Red if you push the woodelves. It's over all a trash starting location for Grom because he pays more when also having more issues just because he is in a sea of yellow climates. An easy fix would let his faction have green for temperate.
Nearly other orc lord start with a lot of green climates around them. Even Skarsnik who used to have a slightly better then Grom starting place, still got moved to a better area that you, as an orc, want to be. It's a call challenge location how ever migrating to get Skarsnik, Wurrzag and Azhag is the best thing Grom can do. He can end up taking over the bad lands as well as green as far as the eye can see all stacked with easily being able to take over 3 legendary lords, Wurrzag being insanely broken when under the Broken axes compared to his own faction.
It's just he has the best orc faction, an ok leader but a shit start that is so easy to fix...
Grom's cauldron is bugged! If you play the campaign, I recommend stormwing's "Grom's Cauldron Bug Fix" mod.
HOWEVER 😉
Heinrich Kemmler uwu
The only thing about Grom I dislike is that Bretonnian climate is unpleasant for him... always thought that was weird
Would like to see what you think or Arkhan the black. He is fun but feels so difficult in the beginning.
Much easier now with his extra beginning army, Settra weakened and having Mannfred as a close ally. Volkmar is also there sure, but now that his chariot model is fixed, his popewagon isnt as much of a menace as it used to be in Wh2.
Try to ally Sartosa, Mannfred and Luthor, so you can get mortis engines from Mannfred, and mortars and cannons from pirates, that makes dealing with infantry way easier, and mortars and cannons are also really cheap so you can put them almost on every army you want them into and replace them easily if you lose them. Played it on Legendary, went straight for the dwarves, then repanse. Later in the campaign got into pretty bad situation when Vampire endgame came, Mannfred declared war, and I hadn't seen the end time warnings, so I had many armies in Lustria beating the enemies of Luthor and other armies going against bretonnia and chad skarsnik.
I’d like a review on the high elf faction that can imprison lords. I don’t remember the name but I remember not enjoying the mechanic in warhammer 2
Eltharion 🙂
@@CH-ml4rz thank you
The cage mechanic takes a bit of getting used to but with high tier archers you can basically kill lords for free. It is an insanely powerful mechanic, though trying to use it with melee units for the kill is ridiculous due to current issues with entities not attacking properly in melee.
I've had my hag merchant break and stop spawning in the last 2 games I've tried to play as Grom, would not recommend it until CA fixes that.
DA BIGGEST
My grom camp didnt go like this by turn 9 courome, carcasonne, mousilon, kemmler, the empire marienburg morghur, dwarves& the wood elves declared war on me i was screwed had like 12 armies appear all around me slowly losing settlements going back & forth for countless with more armies appearing basically never ending i dont know if this was anti player bias or not but jeez at this point i was at quenelles just took parravon back & just lost interest at that point like what they dont got other enemies festus having a off day? Etc kemmler sucking up to louen now? Cause im playing fatty?
luthorkarkon
Tips on how to build his army? Is there any reason to upgrade to Night Goblins? Or any reason ti use goblin archers or should I just use skulkers and normal goblins
I go 6 regular goblins for line holding, 3-5 goblin archers with dragons breath or eagle claw, 3-5 stone trolls (use some river trolls if you want to pair them with stone trolls) for frontline dps, the river troll hag, 2-4 spiky roller pump wagons/flappas for hammer and anvil, 2 big spiders, and if any space, a rogue idol. Give the goblins armor scrap upgrades and give the trolls weapon dmg. Go defensive stat boosts. Cauldron I go stunty ale for unbreakable trolls, stinky shrooms for leadership debuffs, crab shell for physical resistance, and the dragon meat/eagle claw in that order for fishy breath ability (best ability imo). Try to get da biggest scales trophies. If your goblins are rank 7+, with grooms red line all the way to the end, you get goblins with ~42 physical resistance, 75 armor, and 70+ leadership. Don't upgrade to night goblins, most of groms buffs do not affect them. Maybe throw in a couple fanatics Incase of large enemy blobs, but you can use fishy breath for that. Tbh, grom is a doomstack in himself, with 85 speed, Regen, high armor and eventually 40 temp ward, and perfect vigor, he can do devastating damage to an army single handedly, and solo armies with the sword of khaine.
So where do i actually find suitable Terrain? I tried it once but it was all orange so i was basically sacking all the time. Plus the hag merchant events were a bit confusing. I chose the cool for her quest but i didn't really knew what I was supposed to cook for her. Insanely though i got a summoning staff from a very early quest that let my troll hag summon these huge green glowy monster units 😁
What is your build order in his capital? At my first try i just demolished the barracks and build am idol for growth.
Don't know if you got an answer but you should not think to develop Bretonnia immediately. Wreck the shit out of it and just build the gold pile in each settlement with the intention of just leaving it there. That way if the AI moves to take the settlements back its a crap damaged level 1 settlement that you already extracted wealth from. Your main target is Ulthuan and should be developing only a few settlements with that in mind while building a war chest that will tide you over until you settle onto the Donut
@@zuikasa4503 thanks man! At the moment I only have my Steamdeck to play PC games on so I will be w while before I give it s try. Thanks anyway though :)
Thorek next? 🥹🥹
Did they make it in WH3 that two players in MP playing as greenskins can do a waagh at the same time or is it still just one?
Do Luther Harkon
Yvresse next please!
You guys who actually play Grom in SFO, how do you play the first 10 rounds of the campaign on normal? Do you manual fight every battle, even the settlement ones? I´ve been trying Grom for several times, restaring all the time due to me getting OMGWTFBBQ by Carcassonne every single time...
When I play sfo, I manual fight the first army, then the settlement. Tip: do not use anything besides grom on the settlement. Cycle charge the army until you win. Grom has Regen and 85 speed. 0 casualties, levels grom, and he regens fast. Sack the settlement and take it. You should have enough speed to do that. You get the clams ingredient by doing so and can make the surf and turf for insane replenishment. Make sure to equip ol' black roofs head to the river troll for the rogue idol summon. Recruit goblins and get a couple archers, head to beourduleoux, fighting manually if you want, otherwise, siege it and wait for good autoresolve. Try to build up a second army of just goblins for extra Gobbo power, then take the settlement from the fey enchantress south of you. Make sure grom defeats her, as her defeat ability is 10% replenishment (insane) for groms army. If the enchantress comes up after you, ambush her and smash her in a manual battle, because she has a second army that's coming for you that you probably cannot see. Big deal. She always has a second army. For someone who may be new, save scum until you ambush her. The ambush makes her trebuchet useless, her calv less useful, and puts the goblins in a good spot for grom cycle charging. Hope this helps.
Confed wurzag to make the ultimate troll doomstack with cauldron right?
Arkhan next, please?
I found Grom campaign to be annoying, because of what you said at the start, I met HE and they declared war straight away, also Orion and Durthu went crazy and attacked me right away.
Waggghhtt!!!!
now go eat same meat ;]
oxyotl pls next
Valkia review when?
I realized that every faction has at least one dumbass legendary lord that goes off & does their own thing away from potential allies, surrounding themselves with enemies. Grom is one of those dumbasses. In order for me to enjoy Grom, I have to leave Bretonnia immediately & beeline straight to the badlands where I can actually benefit from occupying settlements. Every settlement in Bretonnia besides your starting settlement is yellow. Closest green settlements are in the mountains behind Durthu.
Festus
isit it a probleme that the bretonian land are unpleasant ?
19 troll hags time
HOWEVER 😂
legendary item is still not working...
Can somone tell me how to use chariots i want to like grom more then i do but chariot lords escape me
To use chariots, find infantry, position the chariot a good distance away from the infantry line, make sure it's to the side and not the back or front for maximum bodies charged through, right click the infantry, let the chariot smash into them, wait a couple seconds for the charge bonus to wear off, press J, repeat. For grom, he can solo an army if he's faster than everything in it. He has regeneration, so park him in some woods, set to three times speed, wait for health, then get back in.
@@christianenglund9111 i will try ty
How about Vlad?
Vlad/Izzy please?
how is Skarsnik in WH3?
I'm currently playing Kislev getting my ass handed to me

How do you collect legendary lords? Noob here
Specifically for greenskins, declare war on a greenskins faction, beat the Legendary lords army, and only the legendary lords army, and you are offered the choice of letting them go for diplomatic bonus, or confederation. Otherwise, high diplomatic relations with a faction, maybe pay them money, and be stronger than them.
"...play on easy difficulty." Really? Would you really recommend anyone to play on easy difficulty?
Anyone else miss the "later fuckers" from legend at the end?
This dlc is free right now if you have amazon prime gaming
Groms greenskin campaign is the best greenskin campaign because you don't really play a greenskin campaign^^
This campaign is bugged. The moment you conquer Aquitaine the entire Bretonia and all wood elves declare war. And they do not stay idle. They instantly invade.
And even if you refuse to do anything to aquitaine, they do not care. Being at war with aquitaine is enough for everyone around you to attack.
Sure. There are some tactics that involve leaving Masif orkal and migrating to the badlands with half a stack, beating a garison and praying for the best. Or creating a full stack and immediately attacking Ulthuan to escape the 10 stacks that are coming for your in Masif Orkal.
All the "The cauldron is OP talk" has led creative assembly making this campaign the most difficult orc campaign by far.
Good, campaigns shouldn’t be easy
You have the tools to deal with it though, only high elves and wood elves are an iusse. You need to just understand his mechanic. If you just make stone trolls unbreakable , or use goblin stacks with the right buffs, you are unstopable. You also have waaaghs on top of that. You just need to learn the faction, his campaign is pretty easy compared to many others.
There are ways to win that. For sure. Though I am not sure how one can make trolls unbreakable, get good buffs for goblins, create more than 1 full stack AND have a waaaaagh ready by turn 5.
But, it is doable. Just not for 99% of the players. it is a pitty since grom is genuinely a great character.
That's how it should be. Sounds like a skill issue.
@@ATF- True. I mean, with legend's skill, one can play anything at any difficulty. However, it is a pitty that players with average skill can beat all orc campaigns apart from Grom's. And it is weird how it went from being the easiest by far in WH2 to the hardest by far in WH3. Plus the difficulty is cheap. Every campaign can become difficult if 7 nearby opponents just declare war at once.
I think your haircut's goofy
