I'm sure if you were to cut out the sock section then you could but I haven't measured it to check sorry, im just sticking with the floss and a skimmer

Top vid Ross! Loving the build… one thing to watch out for is that light I put similar in mine and after a few months got heavy metals in the tank… I looked at the lights and the mag parts had all rusted… Looking forward to the next one👌
Good thing to do when putting anything that can rust in the cupboard is smother it in Vaseline, anything metal in my cupboard has it on and nothing has rusted . Touch wood 👍👍
Great video mate, bit of advice don't use that Bubble guard foam, absolutely s----t, and complete detritus and crap trap, suppose it's down to the individual if you want to take it out and rinse it every few days, I have put 2 maxspect bioblockin the baffle water flows through it and beneficial bacteria thrive 👍 already ordered my motion sensor the other day from your advice 👍👍

@@BeardedReef no mate absolutely none whatsoever, like I said if you do regular maintenance it won't be to bad but I looked at it like changing 3 filter socks when I did have it in briefly, but quickly found out that it just got clogged full of uneaten food, little bit of algae etc , now like I said I just have a single bio block now as I took one out, and never had a issue 👍👍

Random suggestion - I wonder if you could put those ads that you always start out with as a bar on the bottom or on the left half of the screen while you talk. Something about you talking, then hopping to 30 seconds of ads always disengages me vs. you just verbally reminding us of the different brands you’re associated with and coupon codes. Love the channel! Just some potential constructive criticism!

Hi buddy great tank. If you need a skimmer I’d get bubble Magnus curve 5. It would work a treat for that size. Be interesting to see what set up you do go for.

Going to be a good build. Screwfix sell Titan wet/dry vacuums for £45, makes cleaning the build up of crap in the sump a breeze.

Push the back of your sump so it's touching the back piece of the cabinet. Less dust and salt creep will get there then.
