Thank you Bhante. Finding you was like finding an oasis in the desert. Now refreshed, I continue on my journey with a solid confidence and renewed saddha. I so wish everyone seeking the truth could hear your translations, as they convey the teachings of the Buddha in the crystal clear way he originally explained them 2500+ years ago. The most amazing part for me is that for the first time I know how to practice in the manner the Buddha intended, and this has made ALL the difference. Sadhu🙏
I have listened to various monks and read many books on the teaching of the Buddha. I have never heard anyone who explain so simply and clearly what the Buddha meant whey he used the words "parimukan satin upattapetwa". What a meaningful video. Long life Bhante!
- that is a very very telling comment. Just consider people, that after listening to MANY Monks etc etc, only now with this one Monk is something at the heart of Buddhism can truly be understood. What does that say for all the other many Monks and information that's out there? And moreover, does it mean that many people are following Buddhism and not fully understanding it, only to oneday say..what this viewer has said?
Ever grateful and indebted to Bhante for making what is unclear clear and easily understood. His simplistic and precise explanations have benefited many who are confused by the plethora of translated Pali terms. Sadhu Sadhu Sadhu
As a long-time practitioner, I find his words exhilarating. He clarifies my experience because his words fit my experience, as opposed to thinking I am constantly missing the mark as I do when I read earlier translations.
Thank You so much! His attention to detail in communicating such important information is so appreciated. English is the only language I know and he could probably run circles around me even though this is not his native language. Sadhu!
Thank you so much for posting those precious and profound teachings. All my Gratitude to Bhante for clearing out the exact meaning of Pali terms. Translations are erroneous and misleading. Very helpful to retranslate (I am translating in French). And for practicing, Right understanding is the 1st start on the eightfold path!
I am trying to get insight of Buddhism. Finding the discourses of Bhante Punnaji very useful to understand life of Lord Buddha and take the lesson from life of Tathagat. Namo Buddhai
How can we said that body is not you, But how can you still go about your daily routine if it is not you? We do have some control to certain extent. But if one define that as no control and therefore it is non self then so be it.
Now I understand why Buddhism is so attractive to Westerners. It is not because Buddhism has great spiritual depth and teachings of transcendence. Rather, it’s because Buddhism appears to them, to be some form of Moral Nihilism due to the incorrect translations by European visitors to India back in the day. This is why they love this concept of anatta and say that Samadhi is merely concentration. It matches perfectly with atheistic or nihilistic beliefs.

What a great gift to receive. Such a great learned scholar and philosopher on video! Thank You sir for your sharing....
This is why we must listen to only the Buddha's words in order to be able to practice Buddhism correctly and to get the results exactly.
