  • I've been backpacking Europe since February and I make a video for each city I visit to document my experience. Had a lot of fun making this one. Vienna is dope!
    Thanks for 800 subs. Huge. Love you guys.

    Idk how it is in the US but just a tip for European escalator etiquette - The escalator has 2 sides. The right hand side is for standing, and the left side is for walking/running. If you want to just stand while going down or up, go on the right side, and when you want to walk down or up, pick the left side. You can always change the side, if you get exhausted or don't need/want to walk any longer, just simply slide to the right hand side. Works vice versa.

      Yeah for sure! I honestly just get distracted when I’m vlogging sometimes but I usually do follow that etiquette. Preciate the comment tho! :)

    Just 2 thoughts I had, maybe it helps anyone. In Europe (especially in catholic churches/areas) it is common and polite to take your hat off. Regarding withdrawing money, you can look up which banks are in the country and withdraw the money directly from them (fees are usually lower). Enjoy the rest of your trip and best regards from Switzerland 😊

      Great points! Typically I take my hat off whenever I enter a church or basilica but I guess I just forgot it was on my head😅 And yes definitely a valid point on pulling money out of bank ATMs specifically. Sometimes they’re just hard to find in touristy areas/ or just not compatible with American cards. The Euronet ones tend to have ridiculous fees. And thanks! I will! My European leg of the trip is almost over though which is so sad :(

      @@noahanderson14 Still planning! Would love to do Portugal/Spain and then a bit of Eastern Europe, 7/8 weeks. Similar style of solo trip that you're doing now, I shot you a DM on IG asking a quick question!

    Have you booked the hostels in advance for every city? Is there a chain you recommend? Tx!

    • @noahanderson14
      @noahanderson14  3 місяці тому +2

      Yes, for the most part! But I did free cancellation (usually $.50 extra/night) which allows you to cancel a few days in advance. If you want to stay somewhere longer or just want to pivot. No specific hostel that I really rocked with, other than the yellow square in Florence. Hope that helps! Lmk if you have any more questions! :)

      @@williamcopland8717typically 2-4! It just depends on how much I want to do in the city and how many day trips I want to take from each city! For Vienna I did 4 nights. That was perfect in my opinion.
