I'm a MASSIVE fan of my Tropos! Hard wearing fabric, plenty of useful pockets for at least one laptop and really, really comfy. The only negative for me is the lack of anywhere to stow the excess straps, but the side pockets can take up some of the slack. Osprey all the way.
yepp, I have the 2022 Osprey Tropos, that I bought after your review then. I hunted one of the last ones down available online in late 2022 and havent found a better backpack since then. The organizational department would be my main critique but I carry a Osprey Ultralight Roll around which works great in combination and solves this problem for me😊 Thanks again for your great reviews then and now!
@@DesmondChengthe New Nebula is a cheap version of the old one. I bought mine almost a year ago and I'm very disappointed with it. No airscape, just a cheap sitpad instead. Ultra weird position of the handle. Shoulder straps are fixed. Bulky and unconfortable when fully loaded. It seems to be a product made by an obscur brand who stole the Osprey design. As the new tropos, very thin material on the top and compressions straps Linked to the front mesh pocket. Thé only ''upgrade'' is the double zip on the front. Sorry for my english, I'm french. Hope Osprey will listen to this. Thanks for your videos anyway.
If you put something in the front pockets of the Surge, inner storage will have less capacity due to inner pressure because of the size of the items. They are practically unusable.

I just ordered the parsec 32L which I believe is nearly identical to the 30L tropos in this video! Cheers 🍻
i actually made a video about the parsec vs tropos. the parsec is actually 26L! here is the video:

I opted in for the surge and returned it a week later for the tropos. So happy with the tropos.
glad the tropos worked out for u!
the Tropos wins for me with one feature - kick stand. Never had to worry about the bag flopping over.
i love the kickstand!
Have you tried any mystery ranch backpacks with the adjustable yokes? If you have, how does the comfort compare to ospreys airspeed?
Yes I have! Mystery Ranch might have a better strap, but the back panel is unrivaled from Osprey
I Desy! Good review as always!
Is there the same capacity in the main comportment of each bag?
its roughly the same but i find the tropos a smidge bigger!
Like the more tone down look of the Osprey more
what about Osprey Nebula?
i like the airspeed back panel and the kick stand, so im not interested in the nebula at this time!
@@DesmondChengyou're right. Don't waste your money.
Do you think the tropos can be carried on an airplane? Or is it to big ?
absolutely, i took it on my trip to mexico. It wont fit under the seat, but overhead is totaly fine =)
Why do some tnf surge have shorter side sleeves? Is it just the pictures or are there different models?
the shorter water bottle pockets are from the pre-production models!

i wish they would expand outwards!
