As an australian just starting out to dropship with mild success, so good to finally catch an australian legend who absolutely champions e-commerce I will for sure now check out local australian suppliers. Everything used to always be china based but with todays current political climate of " made at home " there is a great push for local manufacturing like never before so to those in their own retrospective countries, it is a unique time to look at local suppliers as I'm hopeful that what ever was being made in China is being made back in other countries. Good luck fellow e-commerce beginners!

I'd use the problem solving method. My competitors would have already validated things and done the work for me so it would be much more cost effective. Depending on the product and the market share my competitors has, I would either add a twist to their product, or directly try to improve the problem with their current product. I would start-off by dropshipping the product and making it branded right from the get go. I think this method would be the fastest and most cost-efficient method, and it would be the easiest to know how scaleable a product is, versus creating a product from scratch or spending a lot of time & outreach finding local suppliers who have a good product.

I'd use the problem solving method. My competitors would have already validated things and done the work for me so it would be much more cost effective. Depending on the product and the market share my competitors has, I would either add a twist to their product, or directly try to improve the problem with their current product. I would start-off by dropshipping the product and making it branded right from the get go. I think this method would be the fastest and most cost-efficient method, and it would be the easiest to know how scaleable a product is, versus creating a product from scratch or spending a lot of time & outreach finding local suppliers who have a good product.
