  • Game: Bottom of the 9th: Major League Heroes
    Platform: Sony PlayStation
    Release Year: 1996
A full simulated game of Bottom of the 9th: Major League Heroes. This is the Japanese release of Konami's first PS1 game set in MLB, though on first look anyway it seems identical to the North American release, and is fully in English.
This recording is an All-Star Game between the Apollo League vs. Neptune League, the American League and National League equivalents in this unlicensed title.

I have to say, despite the older graphics the pace and flow of the game is pretty awesome.

This was, oddly enough, the only baseball game I played during the PS1 generation.

Y'know, I'm probably seeing something that's not entirely there given some tangential relations, but I wonder if there's any major connective tissue between this and Power Pros in the engine side of things.

I’m sure there must be. Same dev and similar design. I’d like to compare the credits someday between this and Power Pros games from the same time in Japan.
