So does Messi and at the end of the day all great players. It's not something random. They meant to do this. Its a tactic to harm your play both mentally and physically. You get tired by chasing the ball out of their legs all the time. Takes out a part of your strength/ stamina. While you feel like a puppy. Have you ever noticed the behaviour of a puppy ? First its all excitement and literally diving to your feet to get the ball. After a short time the psychodynamic change in a huge way. Showing that the puppy gets from happy to nervous/ anxious. Then stop getting in your leg and wait from you to kick the ball so he/she go and chase it. That's what they (players) want to manage. They wanna put you in that position where you quit get in their legs and wait from them to act. And if they get that from you they win. They win the advantage to take free initiative. The win less fatigue. They win less injuries. While they do it they observe you. They see how you react looking for a certain pattern. Which leg you put first, wich way your body move, are you coming straight or from a certain side etc. Its all a mind game. Its like behaviourism. So next time don't fall for that. You can give them a taste of their own medicine. The defensive behaviourism. A good kick in their legs will make them strangle. They will be anxious then for their careers or getting injured 😁. (Please don't take that advice seriously though, it's obviously a joke. If you do then red will be your favourite colour and you don't belong in any sport at all.) As for the real answer. Whell... Do you see anyone stopping Maradona or Messi. Is one yellow, two and you're out. There is no way to stop them, that's why they're so great. But since not everyone is Messi or Diego then you have to observe, train and get better and better. It's all about time and effort.

But no matter what Messi got the best dribbling skills ever, period. Not the funciest, but the most effective - efficient. Alot of people try to figure out if Messi is better than Maradona or CR7 etc. First of all the newest the better. All of the former players belong to the past. They where the best of their times. But as football evolving, so do players. So in a century an average player will be better than a top star of today's era. To be fair if Pele or Diego play today and have all the support, inducements, competition etc of our time they will probably be better but lets stick to reality. I'm a Maradona fan but I did like the trio Netherlands in the great team Milan. Maradona played against all the great players and gave Napoli, Argentina tournaments championship that's why he just simply the best of all.
Even Maldini later on apologised to Maradona for the fouls committed by him during that time. Maldini said he was unable to mark and defend against Maradona and hence he had to commit those fouls. Maldini is probably the most elegant, efficient and clean defender of all time and he saying something like that on Maradona means a lot.
Maradona was something else, he was kicked brutally by opposing players but still created magic. The impact he had on people is incomparable and truly incredible. Maradona was inspirational to many around the world for not only playing magical football but also for giving joy and hope to many around the world. The transformation of the city of Naloli after Maradona's entry is unbelievable and borders on mythology. He was a beloved son of Napoli who was like a family member to the people of Napoli.
Maradona was quite simply the most talented player ever and the most iconic too. He would have made mincemeat of defences today with the protection provided to the players and the tough referring.

Milan's Dutch masters, quick pressing and total football Vs Napoli's South American flair and individual brilliance! Napoli had an insanely strong side too with Ferrara, Alemao, De Napoli, Crippa, Maradona + Careca etc. Not only was Maradona probably the best footballer of all time, but Serie A in the 80's and 90's was probably the best league of all time too. That Milan team was also one of the best sides of all time. Certainly between 89-94, I think Milan were the best team in the world. They used to pack em into those stadiums like sardines! I remember that even on my Dad's little black & white TV that the San Siro was almost overpowering. People were like little dots and it's stands just kept going up and up forever!
