+Dëštαnι Tåყłør as an old DJ that rocked a hundred house parties, i couldn't agree with you more. well said, young man. spread the word. ps....Next spring break, when you're rolling down the strip at Panama City, bang this loud...you'll own the beach.
i remember this like it was yesterday, well when this came out, around 89 going to 90 i was an 8 year old kid who just came fresh from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 to New York, didn’t know no english, but i remember my lil sis uncle putting a tape in his boom box and it was LL Cool J and he was playing this same exact song which i didn’t understand anything of what he was rapping about at the time because i was 8 and i didn’t know no english at all, but i remember i was so fascinated about everything i was hearing, the beats, LL‘s flow and voice well the overall production sound, it was actually my first time listening to HipHop and to me it was like discovering something so incredible and new which gave birth to who i was going to become and always be, anyways so i remember that my lil sis uncle saw how amaze i was about the music he just gave me the tape right at that moment and it was like the most amazing gift ever. i remember the next day there was a birthday party and i just remember me wanting to be the one in control of the radio so a can play the tape 🤣 which yes they let be the “dj” for the party so i played the same tape over and over for hours at that party and nobody didn’t even complain 😂 i was happy kid at that moment just because of that 🙂 a young Puerto Rican Kid fresh from the island listen to HipHop for the first time and now day im a beat maker thanks to that particular moment in my young life which it did marked my life for ever.. so yes the whole mama said knock you out full tape its my all time favorite hiphop album
Still one of the best old school rappers HEAVY HITTERS of OUR GENERATION hands down still a very well respected dude... What a legendary guy thx LL for the memories...
I remember when he did I need love and Mama Said Knock You Out in the nineties he has always had a special spirit and a kind soul that you can see in his presence his mother and grandmother they did a fantastic job because he is a very respectful man God bless you LL Cool J and your family
It is, but ppl can't dance like that today. We're in the age of twerking and grinding. Back in the New Jack Era, everybody seemed to know how to dance, even the white people lol... I found it amazing. This video came out a few months after I was born.
HE IS THE GOAT!! My son told me that he thinks LL is the greatest of all time,I said what about Busta because I think he is really good and give LL a run for his money and he told me he would still give it to LL and hes 20 years younger than me .
This is that true back-in-the-day NYC Hip Hop from late 80s -early 90s. The Real Rap!!! How that country-twanging BS that Lil Wayne and Joe Budden and those other clowns put out as Hip Hop or Rap even gets mentioned in the same genre is a mind boggling mystery to me. LL is still the Prince, if not the King of Hip Hop.
Damn the single to this was released January 8th 1990. So obviously they did this video back in like December of 89 or something smfh....the memories I'm sure people had with these tracks. There was snow on the ground and shit too....goddamn I wonder how ill a 90's winter would be. Mfs probably did the nasty so many times man hahaha
This brought me back to the days.. I was born in 1990 the 'All World' album when I was 7/8.. Fuck those were the days. Me and my older cousins used to go to the funfairs with this kind of music playing.. I actually wish I was back in the past.
He's not the GOAT. Not even close. Just because he called him that doesn't make it true. He had longevity, but lyrically he's not even in the conversation with the top rhymers of his day.
Thanks so much,if you dont mind i would like to know a true fan much better so kindly drop your number in my mail so i can text you and get to know you much better llcoolj02200@gmail.com
L.L. Will always be timeless . but if you grew up to him 80's on up you could not stop this man never knew what was coming next party , beef , macking & relaxing , hating lol all that it was all good GAME on wax .
Almost 30 years later and this track is still bulletproof

Bruh... this is a factual statement. The production crazy, LL was styling
This song dropped in 1989, but our early 90s house parties were just like this! We had the MOST fun & music. What a time to be alive 🎼💃🏾
Yes girl yes!!!!
DINT FORGET HE DROPPED THE REMIX TO THIS ON THE ALBUM AFTER THIS
@@moydproductionsmoydvisionz this is the remix LL says "you're dancing to a Marley Marl remix single of" this is the 90s one not 89s
@@amokdax1125yeah
@@amokdax1125 he was 21-22 years old
LMAO the choreography was so simle yet they killed it! This is when house parties were in!!!! Now a days you may not make it out of one alive!!!
You can tell LL had a blast making this video. It would've been so nice to be on that set.
Yes, that IS a cell phone 0:09. If you had a brick phone like that in 1989, you were gangsta af
a cell phone that could double as a weapon if you needed it to lol
1988, and it came with a SHIFT!
86 I have a bag phone lol
Plus its strong. You can drop it a lot.
And mos likely, you were slanging!
I was maybe 4 when this dropped (almost 34 now) and I had no idea LL could dance like that. That break down around the 2:58 mark was wicked
This is one of the coldest remixes of all time. Marley Marl went off when he flipped this. And L is just legendary. Nothin’ else to it.
LL was Killin it back then!!.... And he danced in the video!!!
LL has never been cooler than he was in this video
Headsprung is the close 2nd then
Never! Classic!
I concur 🔥🔥🔥 that breakdown is 4 eva Legendary

Hip-hop was bumping back in these days.
LL has one of the most incredible flows ever. He is in the top 5 rappers of all time.
Nah top 20
I remember when I was a young boy I got this on cassette and it blew my mind. LL is one of the greatest MCz to rock the mic don’t get it twisted.
Til this day I still haven't went to a house party that was as fun as this looks. Legendary video. LL Cool will forever be the man!!!
chelle williams yeah, Flint, MI partied like this as well in the late 80's/early 90's...sorry about your luck.

The remix is the clean version . He curses in the OG mix 😂😂😂😂

I love the remix better
More house parties and less violence.
never to much messed up stuff going on in the world
@Jay L 90s house parties had nothing on the 70s/ early 80s house parties. No disrespect.
@Jay L Right. That's your opinion
@Jay L As you stated earlier. Now go away.
This beat is still sick

If we had music like this dances, and house parties, it'll be a damn better place imo 🙋😍 and im just 17

The way LL entered boogieing near the end of the song is hype
"andYaSayNewYorkCity!!" ;-)
Sometimes the most random shit pops into my head and today it was this hook!
Reporting live from 2024...yup, song still goes hard.
If there were youtube, IG or face book back then, LL would have 3 billion views.
5 min song, and it still wasn't long enough. I'm still dancing over here.
Kick someone out a party like 4:45 these days...they'll come back blastin!

DJ Rod B LL was dope in the '80s, and dope sometimes in the 90's. But he became a bitch rapper, making songs for chicks constantly. He fell off.
DJ Rod B You're not making an ounce of sense...

Remembering the hooky parties, awesome
