    As a USAF Security police veteran who was stationed at RAF Woodbridge from 1977 to 1980 it makes me feel good to see a military presence at Woodbridge after all these years. I salute those young men and women who are in this video.

    Pleased to see the band in the rear for a change. It makes the troops hear the music much better. The band does a fine job despite having only 2 trombones, 1 euphonium , and one tuba. Thanks for posting.

      You are correct, 9 Sqn were the Sappers in 16 Para Bgd. When the Brigade cant get sufficient men to qualify for their jump wings they can serve in the Corps as Penguins until they can get on a Para course. The Corps attached to the Para Regt. have to have their trade qualifications but need not pass P Coy or Para Jump School. Thats why you can see some fat looking Staff Sgts and Paymasters!

      goldbloke Hi P Company is what anyone serving in Airborne forces has to pass to wear the maroon beret whether that’s the Parachute Regiment or the various airborne support arms Engineers, Artillery, Signals etc it’s only after passing P Company that they may go on to parachute jumps course to earn their jump wings. Those in the parade without their wings are most likely newer recruits who’ve yet to undertake their jumps course.

    • @Subtleknife12367
      @Subtleknife12367 5 років тому +11

      @@roryt9751 that is incorrect. Anyone can wear the maroon beret as long as they are in 16 air assault brigade. Depending on the unit it will have a certain number of positions that must be para trained. You do not need to be para trained to wear a maroon beret unfortunately.
