- People's Party of Canada Leader Maxime Bernier has been invited to participate in the English and French debates that will be televised in October. Bernier was not originally among the leaders asked to participate by the official Leaders' Debates Commission.

@@TheTechnoPilot CPC doesn't need Public Funding if they are getting ad revenue from sponsors and advertisers. They're supposed to be the state broadcaster for all of Canada. They aren't. They are just as corporate except that they also get a government check.
There's no reason that CBC can survive without the government funding, and frankly it is a conflict of interest to be a state-sponsored broadcaster while taking private funds from advertisers who inevitably dictate content through their ad dollars.
CBC can exist if they remove all commercials or replace them with relevant Canadian only content intended to inform without bias. Convince them to do that and I'm sure Bernier would be okay with not defending them.

Regardless, he was criticizing the ideas she and the people that use her as a human shield. As for the comment about her being unstable, she herself described herself as that, so did her parents. This is regardless of your thoughts about global warming or climate change.

And speak he did in the debate, interrupting others constantly. I wish him well, but he needs to learn to control his temperament a little better. Frankly I find his positions on immigration and climate change 'extreme'. But he certainly adds a lot of INTEREST to an otherwise very BORING scene. And SOMEONE has to challenge PC (politically correct) orthodoxy.
I don't believe in unlimited 'free speech' myself. The Bible says that 'the tongue is a fire, the world of iniquity'. But two of his 'tweets', which Ms. May considered
so awful, I did not take the same way. He was exaggerating, just as she had done on another issue. And IN FACT all sorts of evil speech and blasphemy have become 'approved' in today's society, so that PC folks ought to examine themselves and their OWN values before condemning others.
This is the most important announcement in this election campaign. I never watched the debate so far as they are all canned responses. I am very much looking forward to watch a debate with Maxine in it

The US economy is weakening, with a recession looming - the fear of Brexit alone is tanking the UK economy. China's economy will survive a Trade war. The US is only stabbing itself in the stomach to spite China.
Canada is NOT going to get manufacturing jobs back. Automation is the thing that's taking jobs, not globalism. Blaming globalism, a movement that has given Canada's economy BILLIONS of dollars - is not the answer.
Canada INVENTED peacekeeping. Fence sitting is not our way, and it's a betrayal of our values and our history to back down from foreign aid. Our country's birth rate is falling, and we need more immigrants to grow our economy. It's a fact. As baby boomers retire, within a decade the people over the age of 50 will outnumber the amount of people under 20. That's a big problem that Bernier's protectionist policies will not help. The sitting PM in 2020 could be dealing with a recession. And I'd trust Trudeau over Scheer and Bernier to protect our economy.
The cartels that Bernier whines about are to protect CANADIAN JOBS. His plan is self-defeating, removing protections from vulnerable industries to protect industries that are declining, and will eventually have few to no jobs through automation alone. He or Scheer could destroy Canada as we know it.
I hope this turns out to be a "hold my beer" moment for Max.

There is value in having a party willing to talk about reforming equalization payments and immigration, disbanding the dairy and poultry cartels, and committing to a real internal free trade agreement within the country.

There is no need to give voice to every crackpot who wants to make a party and run on horrific policies that pose threat of actual harm to humanity and billions of people around the world! That's like running on policies of harm to the LGBTQ+ community except even subjectively far worse (said as a member of the LGBTQ+ community)!!!

B) Explain how his policies are going to harm billions/humanity? He is not proposing war/GMO’s, forced vaccinations, which do indeed harm billions. C) As a self proclaimed member of a special needs group I should think that you would support a politician who believes in equality and fairness. Self actualization and self reliance and moving away from the “nanny” state is a good thing for the individual.
Please read the PPC platform. It is sensible, doable and it will give you more money in your pocket.

Vaccinations pose no risk to the population and allowing people not to get them due to disinformation only harms herd immunity. Humans have been creating GMOs in various forms since the dawn of agriculture and while there is definitely some merit to debating regulations surrounding them, they are a net positive to humanity and definitely in the coming years with climate change. Bernier does not support equality, that's just what you as his supporters tell yourselves as his party makes continuous passive nods to racism and descriminatory practices. There might be some basic economic policies that have some merit, but the rest of his campaign, policies, and running mates make him not only inconceivable and incompatible with Canadian Values and basic human rights, but also toxic to the general populous and political debate.
Please contact your PPC candidate and offer any help you can, they cannot do this alone. GO MAX

This is great news. I don't think for a second that Max is just going to get votes that would have gone to the Conservatives. I think once people hear him he'll take votes from all of the parties, although no doubt more from some than others.

I agree, that is very well said sir. I don't think it's necessarily a matter of splitting the conservative vote. I think many Canadians get stuck in this situation where they have to go either a little left or a little right. And the ppc's appeal seems to come from all over the political Spectrum.
