at 1:30 its a mistake, the rulebook devour phase point 4.: Randomly reveal and place a devoured effect marker (the other side of the spawn marker) in each of the space of the room, EXEPT for the one that already contains the spawn marker.
Hi from France! Thanks for these explanations...i'm actually considering to back this game (late pledge ends on february) : when the first investigator becomes the last in the next round, isn't it a long time to wait for the player doing nothing?
With smaller player counts, players control more than one investigator, and you're usually involved with planning on other players' turns as well, so that may help! Thanks for watching!
