The steps image, worn down by thousands of ordinary folk, is poignant. The folk whose labour provided the wealth that built the place. Great video...food for thought.
Thanks Chris. It’s funny as I was thinking exactly the same when photographing those stones steps! Sir Titus was thoughtful of his workers, supplying housing, schooling entertainment etc 👍👍
James I loved both Saltaire videos and the rent one about Black & White photography was excellent and struck a chord with me. Thank you for making these lovely videos, keep it up.
Amazing that so much survives to be honest. Titus would be very pleased I would imagine! Thanks for sharing...and jogging my memory 👍 Cheers Alistair 👍
Thanks Geoff. A book or even a zine is on my mind for sure. It may include various collections, including Saltaire. One of my resolutions for the new year 👍👍
Great to see the second part of this set. I loved the cobbles at 11:35 and the steps after it, also the coloured leaves were lovely, nice pastels. Thanks for this video, it enlivened my Boxing Day morning. Regards to you and yours, take care and have a great 23.
Could sense the slight unease in this video. Having a time limit and not getting quite the conditions I hoped for, always seems to stifle my creativity, and it can be a fight with my own willpower sometimes not to bin the whole session. Still, nobody said it was going to be easy. :)
when strapping your camera i was expecting ... "french accent" ..... five years later ..... the hedge, gable end picture love the distracting bird. peace pall

Appreciate your comment Richard, thank you. It’s’ certainly a passion of mine, black n white photography and Saltaire close to my heart 👍👍

Thanks Alistair. To be fair the place has been preserved and maintained well. People who visit respect the place… which always helps 👍👍
As you said James a good place to keep going back to. Looks like you're building your collection up favourably.
Yes indeed Ian, I just need to focus on one area at a time. Thank you 👍👍
Lovely restful video and great photos once again. Saltaire project as a book? Happy and peaceful New Year.

Yes you are right. Being on a time limit did hinder the vision slightly. I did however gain a good insight what I need to return to 👍😁
