Even in the cut-up versions of Riffs like this, I can usually follow the plot. This movie was so incomprehensible that I had to look it up out of curiosity; "oh, so that's what the story was about!" Also, the John Huston music is both hilariously unfitting for the movie and surprisingly catchy.
This was one of the few instances where I actually was interested in the movie enough to watch it unriffed. Gotta admit, I kinda like this movie. And the soundtrack is way better than it has any right to be.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say this movie was a cash-in on The Omen's success, but without the solid script, masterful director, quality control and actors who gave a shit about the finished product.
So, just so we're clear, a guy wanders the desert, sees a little girl in a cape, then goes into the hot house where a bunch of little bald kids are being indoctrinated by some weird, hippy cult leader, then the little girl gets a loaded gun for her birthday, accidentally shoots her mom, who then seems really chill about being paralyzed from the waist down, then the Shelly Winters comes to baby sit the mom, the girl goes ice skating, a bird attacks a police officer, the weird old guy comes to "babysit" the little girl.... wait... there was something about basketball in there for some reason.... and the dad is, uh, coaching(?) the team or something, but he's evil too, and the little girl tries to kill her mom with her bird, then when mom's babysitter kills the bird, she pushes mom into a giant aquarium that has no fish in it, but mom is STILL, somehow, alive, and little girl tries to kill her again, while obviously evil dad watches, all while the weird old guy is watching some bizarre laser light show going on at the skating plaza, then birdemic happens and..... I dunno. Did I miss anything? Or maybe this was all just a contact high from my neighbors partying last night.

The full versions can be bought on the Rifftrax website, which should be in the video description above, though let me warn you, once you start a Rifftrax library you'll want to get more. I usually wait for the sales (most holidays) and get a few of em at a time.
It is one of the weirdest freaking movies I've ever seen. Terrible script, baffling plot, awful acting, inappropriate soundtrack, Shelly Winters singing "Shortnin' Bread"...4 stars!
It's on UA-cam. It's a pretty good movie. The little girl is a damn good little actress. She made the movie, IMO. She has a great accent and is very evil.
I can’t decide if Barbara in this film, or Ms Yashuko in “Operation Double 007” suffered worse. Maybe Barbara edges out given how much she is tortured (paralyzed, plowed through a glass sculpture, dragged up stairs, attempted strangulation and decapitation).
This one is worth having the full version for because it's such a strange movie with a lot of recognizable people in it. If you get another I would recommend Light Blast because I won't do an edit for that one for a while because it's newer and more popular so I don't want to ever overstep what I do with these edits, but would rather help create sales for them with the newer Rifftrax fans, and some of the fans of MST3K who are often surprisingly not yet aware of Rifftrax.

A few years later Burt Reynold's "Sharky's Machine" would also open with a helicopter shot of the Atlanta Peachtree Plaza Hotel. There was a slow but pretty steady stream of movies shot in Georgia during the 70s and 80s. I read in an interview that for a long time there were only enough film crew in-state to handle two productions at a time.
I saw this movie at a drive in when I was about 7. I was so confused. My parents on occasion did not make good decisions when it came to movies. I saw it again years later and I was still confused, but only by how this crapburger got made.
A 1978 movie by a buncha Germans calling themselves Brouwersgracht Investors? Did they go on to do "The Day Time Ended" which was just as incoherent and simultaneously LAME?!
