hey I'm wondering can anyone tell me what equipment des guys use, just any of the hardware, I sold my MC 909 and 303 a couple years ago, IV bn sorry ever since, tanx in advance
Karenn guys pls tell me, on your live gigs, do you put all channels from Tempest to mixing table separately, or just mono out and "mix" it within Tempest, the 6 channels?
+Gizmoriderful Ye photos show them using the voice outs, but not all of them. i have a tempest and i find it's necessary to split it up into 3-4 parts: kick, bass, mids, and lead sounds. you could also split your snares/claps/hats to different voices, having a close snare and a reverbed clap. but i believe blawan uses his modular for the drums now. maybe tiptop audio.
'You just couldn't do this on a laptop' - haven't they heard of Ableton Live + Max for Live (the latter allowing an emulation of all their modular set-up). I love hardware live shows but they shouldn't pretend its completely impossible to do on a laptop, maybe it would (probably) sound worse but the sequencing/live playing possibilities are easily obtainable on a computer.
From doing livesets as well ... and having used a computer before ... i can assure you that first the quality of sound , the possibilities , the improv , the interaction directly with the parameters and reacting to the crowd which also brings , after all , the performance part .. changes the whole game with Hardware ..... even if using a computer Without those crappy Scene launches ... ... at the end of the day of course the only important part is what comes out the speakers , no mather what is used ..... but still ... i would never go back to using a computer ...
It's really annoying !!! I don't know if the music in the background is ripped from one of their live act, but it absolutely doesn't reflect what's exciting about their collaboration. Cool interview though
Love this! Great guys with great talent! Can't wait to see them live again! :)
Does anybody know the name of the track from the background or it is part of their live acts ?
