Girl.. I have had a NASTY cold too. I think I’ve made a permanent imprint on my couch ! Our weather here in Massachusetts is so screwy it was 55 last week. No wonder we are all sick 🤒 feel better hun
I have had multiple chronic illnesses over the years, and whenever I have had a flare up, I have always asked myself, "What do I need? What will make me feel better?" That helps me stay calm and cope better.
Mary, I empathize with you - I had a cold which lasted over a week and it really knocked me on my ***, and I don't have CF. I coughed SO MUCH INCESSANTLY, my abs were KILLING ME from the coughpalooza. I know you have strong abs, that probably doesn't happen to you, but seriously, I think the abs were hurting me more than the acute sore throat. Prayers coming your way. xo

I would say I pray you feel better soon but as someone with a chronic and terminal illness(Adrenal cancer and other health probs), I dislike being told that. There is no "getting better" (as in a cure).....but I can say I pray this cold virus does pass for you soon!
I've been sympathizing by having a cold with you guys this week, lol. Hope you kick it fast Mary. The sweet nurse at the Minute Clinic said I could count chicken soup as medicine, so if you like chicken soup, enjoy some as part of your recovery :-). Sending hugs and healing prayers your way.

I hear it too. This is the most crackly I've heard Mary's cough up close. Kinda scary/sad/worrisome. Praying for you guys! It's definitely not the "usual" CF cough of late. Definitely feel better guys!

LOL , Mary I like your leg rest , Ollie Boy has some many uses , but of course the main one is just being Ollie Boy and a well cared for family member.
Your tree is still looking great , do you add it`s weekly aspirin ?? , we used to , not really sure if it made a difference , after Christmas would would always put our tree outside and hang small buckets of bird seed :)
Lastly , thank you for your acknowledgment that we lost a lovely angel , Claire Wineland , although she is now at our Brothers table , her empty chair will forever fill our hearts with her spirit and fill always be remembered. Thanks again :) it is positively time for CF to leave.

Mary, so sorry about the constant coughing. I have a cold right now too, and I had to think of you when I was coughing last night while trying to go to sleep. I was praying that I could quit coughing and go to sleep. I was so tired of coughing and you popped into my head and I realized that what I'm temporarily going through with my cough is what you deal with (quite different I know) each and every day. I am so glad that you have found/chose joy through the help of our Lord as you cough each day. But I will still be grateful when I'm no longer coughing and my cold is gone. I hope you are soon feeling better too.

I was standing in line at Wal-Mart the other night and seen a kinder toy treat and thought of you guys, and it was kind of bitter sweet to recall, when you guys were over seas, and Mary was getting sicker. Mary darling, I know you’re not allowed cough suppressants, so would a simple hot lemon and homey soothe the viral tickle enough for you? We use the juice of half a lemon with a dessert spoonful of honey in a mug of hot water. The steam would encourage your sinuses to drain too. Get well soon, cariad xxxxxxxxxxxxx

My best friends sister had cystic fibrosis she had a a lung transplant but it got an infection and she got so sick that we knew she was going to pass away sooner then later unfortunately she passed away September but she wanted to donate back to people and that's what we did with a big hockey thing and raised over 1800 dollars,so to see you battling and doing so well she would be so happy to see that.stay strong and keep battling💜💜
I have illness induced asthma and I currently have bronchitis (viral) and have been coughing non stop so my ribs, head and upper back are so sore. I am exhausted, out of breath and I was just thinking, oh no, please don't tell me this is how Mary feels every day! How do you do this? How do you go through every day with such optimism? I just have bronchitis, no where near what you have to deal with! It give me a new found respect for everything she goes through

I have cancer and one of my side effects from it is coughing. Omgosh I cough so much. I know how you feel about the coughing. I have coughing fits till I almost pass out. Here is to peace for both of us💕

Mary I hurt so much for you. Can you take a strong cough medication like I do for my chronic COPD? I take Tussionex and it gives me relief from coughing so bad for so long. It's the best medicine I've found for coughing. Please know I send your name with my prayers nightly. I hope you get better soon...coughing like that just sucks and your whole body aches especially your stomach muscles...but of course you know that. Many hugs for you and yours! 💙💜💛💚💙💜💛💚💙💜💛💚

So sorry for you. While my coughing experience pales to yours, I was 36 weeks pregnant with my daughter & broke 3 ribs from coughing.
It wasn't confirmed until after she was born. I specifically asked for a chest X-ray because I know they (OB peeps) didn't believe me.

We love to have breakfast for supper sometimes on those cold damp winter nights. We call it bupper. Then we top it of with a nice cup of tea! Feel better Mary!
Mary do you drink hot tea to thin the mucus? When I'm fighting bronchitis and chest congestion I drink wagoner ' orange clove tea, or an orange spice tea. Don't know if it would help you but feeling so miserable might be worth a try. Feel better soon!!
Love your guys's videos. I wish I could help her and bring her some relief. Even though I have PKD it makes me think how lucky I still have my kidney function at the moment and or could have something worse. It makes me feel great when you remind everybody even though you can be dealt lemons to make lemonade.

I know how important it is that you expell anything you can cough up, but I know how tired I get when I get bronchitis..... I'm praying for you sweetie!
In my family we also do breakfast for diner ! We are french so it's baguettes, salted butter and hot chocolate ! :) I hope Mary will get better soon !
Omgosh i have a severe illness and i watch yoy gifs for comfort. I rmember last year when i was on my way to hospital, I almost lost my life. You guys JUST came out with the Ollie stuffed animal and i wanted to support you guys so so bad! I WISHED that i had enough money but i just didn't and my husband and i were far too preoccupied keeping me alive. This year, thanks to God, I am doing a like better but still not in a position to buy 😔 Ugh I want a print from you guys so so bad! Sigh maybe next year. I would love it if you guys wpuld pray for my health. I've pursued for you guys ❤🕆

I know it’s not the same but I have hashimotos and my thyroid swells and causes cardio issues which cause lung issues. I make it sound so flippant but it’s pretty serious. I had pneumonia for 10 months and still have scarred lungs from that bout. They’ve told me my breathing will always be crackly and will never fully recover. UI can’t even imagine what you’re going through because it’s definitely more severe than mine, which has been really awful. I want more than anything for you to be ok ...... and for my less severe case to be ok as well.
This might seem like the dumbest question ever... But can you take cough medicine when your sick?? Expectorant? Yours faithfully, non CF sub xx

Ok, I’d like your professional opinion on the proper way to take your pills when using a combler. I just pop the little door open, and then just dump them straight from the combler to my mouth, but I was told that no one else does it that way, and the “proper” way is to dump into your hand then put them in your mouth. So, I figured I would ask you, Mary. other chronic illness warriors are welcome to weigh in on this as well.
