🌞Thanks! I do the same on my lunch breaks - catch up on all my friend's videos. 👍😎 We've had snow in April before, but I think the cold is done for this year.
Nice work Sunny. I am working on getting that scarifier /turf rake. That is the one cartridge I really can use. Want to get rid of my Greenworks dethatcher. It works well but I am spoiled now with the cordless mower lol :)
Sunny, does you Allett try to keep going when you stop. My roller drum belt is still slightly engaged when the machine is sitting still. I have loosened up the tension on the cable, but it doesn’t prevent the problem. Basically the machine will walk off on its own if left idling even at the turtle setting.
Take the side cover off and watch it. The tension spring may need replacing, too. With the cover off you can see what's causing that belt to engage. You may need to squirt some WD-40 down the drive cable to make sure the cables not stuck in the sleeve. Let me know what you see. A moving, idling machine could be a dangerous thing.
`Yeah the belt is definitely engaging ever so slightly. Also get the rear drum to lock up every now and then when the unit if off and I’m moving it around. I’ll have to fiddle with it a little more and contact Allett USA if necessary. Thanks for responding.
Great video. I heard you say that you were scalping with an old reel that you were going to "send off" to get sharpened. Are you taking it somewhere local or is there a service that allows you to ship the cartridge and get sharpened. I know reel rollers has a program with reel works to do this for the Swardman reel mowers. I had not heard if someone has a similar program for Allett. I have narrowed my search to either an Allett or Swardman for my next reel mower and the ease of getting the reel sharpened is a major factor as nobody does this within 100 miles of my home. Thanks and keep those videos coming
🌞I plan to use the Allett rep to sharpen it for $150. He's in South Carolina. I believe he uses TSP Turf to sharpen them. I asked Reel Rollers about the Allett, but they won't do them. I plan to keep looking and will make a video about it if I can find someone reliable and fairly priced. Thank you for watching!👍
Yes, last year I bought a Ryan Lawnaire IV from the Home Depot. ☀️ I have a couple of videos of my first time using it. Plan to do it again every year. My hard clay needs it. 👍
@@SunnyBermuda I started my 22,000 aeration yesterday. I'm going to do it all weekend just in sections lol. I'm also going to pick up the plugs this time cuz I heard it really doesn't do any good if you don't. I've always left them. Dang lawn work never gets easier ha
@@randyman8984 Aw, man!! That's going to be quite a workout!! Yes, I remove my plugs, too. Don't want to aerate your yard so it can breathe only to smother it with plugs, especially with my clay.
No, backlapping is to get you through until a professional grind. The old cartridge had some coning and needed a fresh spin grind on it. Think of backlapping as brushing your teeth and a pro grinding as going to the dentist. 😎
ok thanks, and i have the same mower as you (briggs version) i enjoy it, but i’m starting to feel like it’s scalping on the left side(drive box side) is that a issue of being in level?
@@RedSp4de No, I believe that is a Bermuda being too thick problem. Mine has done the same thing. Got a video coming out about this very issue. Do you Scarify weekly?
@@SunnyBermuda no i haven’t bought a scarifier yet, it is pretty thick. i cut between number 2 and 3 setting on the height of cut. you recommend me getting the scarifier asap? and maybe a 10 blade reel?
More great lunch time views. Those dang spring freezes will jump up on ya when you least expect it. Nice work as always man!

I find dormant bermuda stripes surprisingly pleasing to the eye.
I know, right!! 😎 Thank you for watching! 👍
You have a beautiful piece of property sunny!
Can’t get land like that around here:(
Thank you! Yes, it's very spacious. You live in a city? I had to move out a little bit and commute, but it's worth it. 😎
Really impressive what the scarifier caught after scalping. Great video!
Thank you! Yes, I’m often surprised at the amount it pulls out. 👍
Love the information. You're one the sources that lead me to the allett mower
Awesome!! Hope you like your Allett! 👍
Great videos as always bud. Hopefully you are close behind our 80's and 90's
Fingers crossed! We've reached the 80s for a few day, but the forecast calls for 70s all next week. It'll get here. Thanks for watching!!
So satisfying seeing all that dead brown grass coming out
⛳Definitely, sometimes it's hard to believe that much is in there. Thanks for watching!
Not sure if it’s the music or your editing but I find your videos relaxing to watch. Keep up the great work!
🌞Thank you!! I'm often told I'm a slow and steady guy, maybe that's the key. Glad you enjoy the videos, thank you for watching! ⛳👍
Very relaxing video Sunny!
Thank you! 👍

Looking good Sunny! I might have to try out the Carbon G this year.
☀️Thank you! I’ve got several bags to try.

@@RedSp4de mostly just the scarify cartridge. If you cut below.75” then the 10 blade would be nice
