STELLER !! Any one considering buying a new cat MUST watch this series. You folks are the best advertising for SEAWIND there ever was. Thank you so much for letting me follow your voyage. Be happy, be safe
@@garhamalexholm701 Bet it is not as much as you may think. Some I should hope so, but do not loose sight that the RR2 will be a specd model avalible for us all by Seawind. I would not doubt that their would be a bit of commission but again not much. Boat builders do not have a ton of profit built in. Well maybe Lagoon does....LOL
Kudos for SEAWIND for sharing such access and showing quality. I don’t think you can show to much when it comes to quality of material and workmanship. I have definitely put them on the must see list at next boat show in Annapolis.
Really love the way this boat opens up and expands the interior. One question though... will you have some sort of screening system on the outer surrounds to prevent mosquitos, gnats, midges, no-see-um's, etc? I'm not sure I ever heard you mention that. Great series you two! Love getting to share this experience with you. Thanks so much!
Seawind really had stepped up. It's no accident that they partnered with you guys, not just for the way your channel makes them look great, but for the feedback from you and your listeners
Well. If my back was better, if I was 30 years younger, and had a lot more money... I would love to own a boat like this. You guys are very lucky. You deserve it!
I was watching the face of the ladies working while you were talking. They are so focused on their task even while you talk and film. They take pride in their work. Great show. Odd question, since you are from the UK. What do you think of the Prout Snowgoose 37 as the 1st entry to this life? I can't even come close to a recently made boat. So I am just asking. Also, thank Captain Q Yacht Hunter for helping me understand the terms you toss around like "coming" his YT is fun also.
Catamarans are not my cup of tea but it is good to see how happy and involved w/ the new boat construction you are. Good luck and I look forward to see the new adventures.
The design for the boom is phenomenal, I always thought there could be a better way to collect & pack it in. So what is more exciting your first boat build or your first kiss ~~ don't answer that ~ enjoyed all of this building stuff but where are the cup holders ?
Thank you Nick. You and Teresa brought us a well thought out selection process and followed it with an excellent detailed build documentary. I can't wait to see the smile on your faces as you sail off onto your next adventure. The boat is turning out to be a beauty. Keep up the good work.
Love your enthusiasm and your presentation. You are educating us on the depth of skill it takes to create such an impressive catamaran and, parenthetically, any sea going vessel. Kudos.
Super video this week, Seawind had better be almost giving you RR2, as you are doing a bang-up job in showing the meticulousness, flexibility, and quality of their building process.
Interesting video! Watching Nick's face while he talks about the details of the 1370 build one can see how into the nerdy details he is. Like to see more of Terysa. Maybe talk about the kitech layout and materials from her point of view. With Terysa's short stature will she be able to see out when sitting at the interior nav station?
Loving this. You guys are capturing in a very effective way how their system of assembly works and is really cool to see! Keep smashing out these awesome videos!!
Phenomenal work, with the filming/documenting and the craft going into the vessel itself. This behind the scene footage gives me tremendous confidence in the design and build quality, which I simply will never know of the other manufacturers because they don't have a Ruby Rose crew doing this hard work AND they don't have the confidence in their product that they would be willing to share this much with the world. Seawind is in a class of their own in finding the perfect balance between quality and affordability, when I'm ready to buy my liveaboard its going to be nigh-impossible to talk me onto another builder.
Love the quality of that factory and the pride they clearly take in every little detail - what a QC procedure. You guys are doing a great job for them putting that across in a really entertaining way, cheers :)
Nick - I wrote this before. Don't leave the yard without the source code of the C-Zone system. Without nobody in the world - including the inventor of C-Zone - can help you with changes or trouble. Best would be to have the development system also. I don't know how the nav system will be equipped. I recommend a bridge between engines and nav - so you may also have all gauges of the engines on the plotter. Great control! If you like the navstation as helm, think about another engine control. You might also travel in colder areas.
Howdy Nick hope you both are all well , was wondering have you asked the builder about water catchment that goes to your water tanks ? or did I miss it ?
Really sad that Nick is so unenthusiastic about this whole build process… 🙄 Can’t wait for the Launch Party… they’ll both have permanent 180 degree smiles on! Loving this series and I’m still a motor head! Have no idea how many Seawind’s this series is going to sell but its going to be significant… Great Content & Production!!
Do Seawind make models of their boats? Because, at this stage in my life, it's about as close as I will come to owning one of their beautiful boats. Kudos to the Vietnamese Seawind employees. I hope they're very proud of their work and know that there are lots of people, like me, who appreciate their skills and attention to detail.
Great series of video. You can really appreciate where your hard earned money is going to. It also gives a lot of confidence to future potential buyers in what they will be investing in. You must get really impatient to get her in the water and sail away. Hope I have a chance to spot you in Singapore or Thailand before you are far away.
Looks amazing, one q though; why did you opt for two helmes? They both seem to be accessable directly from the cocpit and thereby limiting your potential livingspace.
Very interesting stuff. Was wondering if you have gone to online forums for Seawind owners to read about recurring issues (assuming there are some) that the owners have and ask your guy at the factory their thoughts on those issues.
Nice video! Man, that 1600 interior looks really dated compared to the layout and esthetic of the 1370, I imagine they are in the process of redesigning that to make it more modern like RR2 will be.
I like that boom design, and I know I saw it on another brand of boat before. Does anyone know where Seawind got the idea? Is it something Selden, Zspars, USSpars, Sparcraft, etc. make?
I really enjoyed these kinds of videos and your commentary. But I have to ask - What happened to the good quality audio at 11.33? Sounded like you dislodged a lapel microphone and it went down your shirt.
Huge openings , what do you do to stem the flood of no-see-ums and Mosquitos that seem to thrive in many anchorages. Removable screens, or fire up the A/C and lockdown ? 🤔
Look, muh of the detail loses me. But Nick's enthusiasm is so infectous who cares about the material? Excited people is ,much more rewarding. Don't change a thing.
If you are going to start talking plump cushions, you're going to have to call the fabric samples, "swatches". P.S. We know Nick has the skill but, still no banjo 🙁🤦♂️. Damn.
Most important part of that video was the last 10 seconds with that boom system. Love it!
Can you make a video explaining the Seawind range? In the video you talk about the 1600, 1270 and 1370 and it would be nice to know how they compare.

Ever thought how much discount they get off the new boat, for all this advertizing on there channel

Terrific! Great to see the 1600.
Looking forward to seeing RR2 out on the blue! Stay safe out there!

so excited with you, 4 months......Uhhhg.....it will be worth the wait though! Hugs from Canada!
This boat is fabulous! We just put a deposit on a 1600 for our family. Please share more footage of its construction if you get a chance!
The more videos I see in this series, the more impressed I am with these boats and company.

I really like these 'building the boat' videos you've been doing. It's interesting to learn what goes into these boats.

I sense Nick is almost at bursting point….. 😂 What a great series and insight this is, nice one.. 👍🇬🇧
You two are going to have one bad ass boat now for sure. It’s exciting to see y’all’s excitement. Have a fantastic week. Thanks for sharing. 😎🙏❤️
Like it. I'm jealous. i want one but $$
Every time fantastic details. I like that boom - great idea.
I'm putting in for the Lotto again this week it seems! Love the videography guys! Well done Nick and Terysa!
Fascinating look at topics I know little of. The attention to details is astounding. Another brilliant video, thanks for sharing.
Seeing the building process like this is really great!!! Thanks for sharing!

Nice, and with a quality build…
Thank you
Loving this. Great post. 🍻🤙🏼💯🎯
I see no lessening of engineering and quality with each area of manufacturing. You chose wisely, Grasshopper! 😁
Thank you sensei
@@sailingrubyrose Go with the flow, Grasshopper!
On the folding dinette table it did not fold up evenly, that would drive me crazy.
100% SEAWIND for ME

Oh!! You guys are getting close to the production finish line! Great content!
Can't wait to see the finished boat...but love these inside views too!

The attention to detail is incredible - anticipating temperature shrinkage of the clears is a perfect example.
Four more months! There's light at the end of the tunnel you guys. Who's excited?

Thanks for all the info.... question though : isn't Corian quite heavy ?
But will the Busch go right through the external cushions?
She looks rather lovely
Oh she is
I do wish the 1370 had the bulkhead raised helm position, as I prefer it to looking through glass, but otherwise this is a dream boat.
