Make sure when you pour the concrete that none of the rebar is touching the pex pipe it will cause a hole in that pipe. It looks like you know that though. Yall are doing an amazing job raising such good, well mannered, hard working kids. Good job lounging keep up the hard work!!!

🙂UA-cam recommends this video to me, for 30 years I have always seen radiant floors made with a spiral spiral then from the center you go back, with a maximum of 3.5-4 inches of space between the return and return pipes, even less, leaving space on the perimeter of the rooms, will probably have to operate at a slightly higher temperature, now the trend has changed using air-water heat pumps, the cement is poured with a specific additive and of a smaller thickness, in order to limit the thermal accumulation mass and make it work the inverter heat pump in a more responsive and efficient way, different story if fossil fuels are used.

Nice drone flying skillz.. makes for a great opener.. I have some good news. I just bought some land in Kingman. Not sure how soon i'll relocate there. It needs some tractor work and leveling out a bit then depending on price.. a concrete pad to park on. I'll be installing a metal carport for sun and rain protection. Nice PEX work. might have to install some more solar to support keeping them heated floors working. LOVE the kids helping. learning how to help and build a house. You should mark where every joint\coupler is IF any troubles arise. Did you ever think you'd be build a house powered by the Sun...? Pretty incredible to ponder. Use some cardboard strips for the gaps. That was some cool editing.. pounding the rebar pieces in.. LOL.. the shadow of the backhoe creeping in. take care..

  • @roberto.peterson9917

there is a step of putting down what best describe as egg cartons based that you just press the pex into and is held in place eliminate the staples that could eventually cause a hole to form in the pex and support rebar from setting on pex
easy y put down and speeds up the layout of pex

You guys are great. Love seeing your channel. Makes me feel warm and cozy inside. Talking about warm and cozy I wanted to reflect on another favorite channel of mine but I won't plug any other channel on your site, but anyhow, they built a 2800 sq ft pole barn with a concrete poured floor that they installed the radiant heat into, yes including the foam insulation underneath. The point I am working on getting to, is that even through they went through the installation, they never use it. Why? Because they religiously stuff their decent sized woodstove once in the morning, and once at night, and the whole building is warm. So, they so far haven't even installed the burner for the radiant floor heat. They did insulate all of the walls etc. as well. So as a tip, be sure to include a woodstove. It also makes for a good alternative in the event of a power failure etc. Maybe you are planning on a backup power supply or your current setup is ample as it is.

You probably won't see this before the concrete... but when I've seen these systems installed, there is generally a batter-board like structure erected and some long sweep pvc-type elbows are used to make the transition from the floor to where your manifold is going to be. The guy I've seen do this most often is MR Post Frame... He's got a good system... and it might be helpful to give that a gander. Great to see progress.... that's for sure. Thanks for sharing this journey with us. .... oh... okay - I'm seeing the system you came up with now... sort of. Looks like you've got a batter-board type of mount... but... well - check out MR Post Frame ... it could be helpful.
