Such a shame. Someone should be living & loving in this home.
God bless Donna’s sweet memory.
That house is in perfect condition and only needs a little cleaning and yard work and it will be beautiful! I really expected to see moldy walls and moss growing through the ceiling but I was surprised!
We wish that was the case; not in perfect condition. Anything wood related is mostly rotten on the outside. We now own the property. About $1 million just to get the outside stabilized.
This house has much more problems than you realize. Probably not a good investment to restore it. Also the set up is quite strange with all these obsessive little rooms and closets. Definitely a custom job that would require a lot of interior remodel.
@@crysteltse8611 Perfectly said and you are ABSOLUTELY CORRECT ! Sounds like you have done remodeling in the past and know the challenges !

I am absolutely 💯 worn out with this country and how we NEVER STOP the waist.!! Total disregard to history..and craftsmanship.

@bawillard -Truer words have NEVER been spoken!!!!
Same thing happening in other countries. Many homes of the rich, famous and powerful abandoned to waste and just sitting there to rot.
In the description, he corrects that and says that the home is not going to be demolished. It is going to be sold.
I feel saddened to even watch the video ... her spirit would be crying all the way through.
god blessed you Donna Summer
She died of lung cancer! She last lived in New York in a luxury apartment. She blamed her lung cancer on 911! Because the smoke came in her unit/condo/luxury apartment.
Thank for sharing this information.
Maybe if she stayed at this mansion, she would still be alive. No offense. RIP Queen of Disco!

Heartbreaking knowing it’s going to destroyed.
@@sharonbowers9929what a waste,its a shame
@@sharonbowers9929 We have no plans to remove the home. Not sure where this rumor keeps coming from. Totally false. We purchased the property from her husband in late 2022. When the time comes, someone can purchase and restore it as their dream home. The home is in bad shape on the outside. Anything wood related is rotten including nearly all of the windows. It was abandoned after she passed for 10 years before we acquired it.
I didn't actually know Donna Summer had passed away. Now, I am sad. She penned some of the greatest songs in pop music: Last Dance, Love to Love You, I Feel Love, Bad Girls, Hot Stuff, MacArthur Park, She Works Hard For The Money, This Time I Know It's For Real... so many hits, all different. She was a wonder and we are better because she was here.
@honestabe - A little Side Note - When Donna Summers became a "BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN", she DEEPLY REGRETTED "LOVE TO LOVE YOU"....
Jimmy Webb wrote MacArthur Park.....
She died from lung cancer but never smoked. She believed it was from the asbestos in the air as she was near the twin towers when they imploded.
She died 12 years ago
She was in New York living when the twin towers went down. And one of her last interviews she said she felt being down there during the collapse caused her cancer. just like it caused so many of the first responders and others. Very sad.
Those "DEMONIC DEVELOPERS"!!!! GOD FORBID THEY SHOULD TRY AND SAVE THIS BEAUTIFUL PLACE!!!! From the looks of it, it wouldn't need that much done to it!!!! But NOOOOOOO, THEY HAVE TO DESTROY IT TO MAKE ROOM FROM SOME CHEAPLY MADE CONDOS OR SOMETHING!!!!
Follow the money.
It very likely has a secret entrance to the trafficking tunnels. Most of the cult members had those - "had" being the operative word here. Swamp is being drained! And all those people with beautiful voices are going to be known for what and who they were. "Were" being the operative word again.
And destroy the wildlife habitats. Greedy and shameful!! 21:09 😢1😢😢
@@bobbyjones7354 TOTALLY AGREE!!!!
Hummmm, we are the developers. Not very nice comments you made. No condos going on the property. Those are not allowed in the municipality where the home is located. We are trying to save the home after it was abandoned for 10 years after she passed in 2012. We purchased the property from her husband in late 2022 and have no plans today to see the home removed. Please know the facts before you say terrible things about people. Anything wood related on the outside is mostly rotten. $1 million just to stabilize the exterior including replacing all of the rotten windows. That's why they are boarded up. Roof, 13 HVAC units, settlement issues and the list goes on. The home now has a far better chance of survival under our ownership vs. it sitting in a field rotting away.
Love Donna Summer growing up in the 70's and 80's. Why was it abandoned? What a waste. Rip 🙏 🌼 🌸 🌻 🌹

We purchased the property from her husband in late 2022; sat abandoned for 10 years after she passed in 2012. We absolutely have no plans today to remove the home; wish that rumor would stop. When the time comes, hopefully someone will purchase it, restore and make it their dream home. It will eventually be on a 2 acre lot.

Ok, here is the current story on the property. Our team bought the home and the surrounding 25 acres from her husband in late 2022. It will be eventually be a part of a new subdivision we are developing made up of over 200 homes in the $4 to $8 million price range; 5 to 8 thousand foot range. The subdivision will be about 400 acres in size. THERE ARE NO PLANS TODAY TO REMOVE THE HOME !!! It will eventually be on a 2 acre lot.
If anyone reading this wants to purchase and restore it when the time comes, you will be welcomed. The home sat abandoned after she died in 2012 for over 10 years and the exterior was not maintained. Anything wood on the outside is mostly rotten including the windows. If someone wants to purchase the home and spend their funds to restore it, then we sincerely wish them the best. It will be several years before this section of the subdivision will be platted. The home is around 13,500 feet conditioned. A figure of $8.5 million keeps coming up. We paid nowhere close to that. Our acquisition purpose was for the 25 acres of land. The property is located in Middle Tennessee just outside of Nashville.
When she passed, her funeral was in Nashville. She is buried at Harpeth Hills cemetery; in Nashville. Donna passed at her home at Manasota Key, Englewood (Naples area). She owned multiple homes around the country at the time of her passing.

The house you're talking about can be seen on the internet on the realtor's site that sold in 2022.
The commentator said the "Guy who owned this home" I thought it belonged to Donna Summer. Most confusing. Not only a beautiful property but situated in stunning surroundings. Pity we weren't given any history, I'd love to know who built it, how old it was, why it was being demolished, who was the last person to have lived/owned it, why it's been left derelict & not inherited, had it ever been put on the market. I'm sure there's a few millionaires out there who would snap it up. To demolish such a treasured house would be shear sacralidge.
Her name was actually Donna Summer Sudano. The owner was her husband Bruce Sudano. We purchased the home along with 25 surrounding acres from Bruce in late 2022. The home will eventually be plotted on a 2-acre lot. Whoever purchases the home can restore or do what they want. Nearly everything wood on the outside of the home is rotten due to not being maintained after she passed in 2012. The family owned the home for a long time. The windows are rotten on the outside also. As I remember, the home has 13 HVAC units; not exactly energy efficient. The home with the 25 acres was available for anyone to purchase from her husband. We have no plans today to remove the house. When the time comes and the lot is platted, whoever purchases it can restore it with their funds and make it their dream home. The home was built around 1995. I have a photo in the office from when the home was new; the landscaping was very low and the home was gorgeous. It is classic English architecture on the exterior. When we acquired it, the front of the house structure was almost completely overtaken by vines. Wish I had more history to share as to the builder and complete ownership history.

Although this property is boarded up and closed up, it doesn't strike me as abandoned. Clearly, there is some basic degree of curatorial care in evidence. Functioning electric lights, no evidence of water penetration, and yes, the boarded-up windows all speak to the idea that someone is looking after the property to prevent major structural decay.
