Also Private you're kind of forgetting a crucial detail about Pony Twi vs Sci Twi. Pony Twi grew up in a world of magic, along with science, and her world simply allows for a wider range of interests and possibilities. Sci Twi's world is more like ours and without magic being something Twilight could focus some of her attention to, all Twilight had for most of her life was science. Plus the glasses make sense given she's probably spent assloads of time staring at books, computers and the like.
I think the problem with human Twilight is that they're trying to make sure they don't just retread the same path that pony Twilight went through but aren't completely sure yet of how to go about it. I did enjoy the episode still, but I do think it was the weakest of the 3 specials. I'd give it more a 3.5/5.
I'm kind of disappointed you gave Dance Magic such as low score since it brought back most of the Shadowbolts, Private. One could consider that since it has been some time since Cinch was replaced by Dean Cadance, Crystal Prep has started to move away from the "win at all costs" policy that Cinch instigated during her time as principal, and that has had an effect on the Shadowbolts as well as their personalities under Cinch have waned and become more friendlier, as shown here. Sour Sweet still showed some of her split personality when she first saw Rarity, but it is clear she's started to get better control of it due to better relations with the Rainbooms.
This was my impression too, the ease with which the Shadowbolts switched to helping needs to be viewed with how they already partially learned the lesson in the Friendship Games movie in mind.
I personally liked these and while they weren't perfect it shows that they want to so something with the EG concept they just need to get more traction and these shorts did it well enough... not perfectly but well enough. The song for me saves the entire thing cause dammit is it a good song
That's a bit harsh. But one positive i will give this episode is it at least didn't screw up Rarity's character like "legend of everfree". I give this 3/5

The Fan Without a Face That's True Being As Nerdy As She Is.
I liked the special for a few things, the song and seeing the Shadowbolts again....even though Indigo Zap wasn't there but still a good Special
MarioKartGamerDude Well, It Is What It Is.
Just waiting for the Perfect Pear review.

awesometacular I Think They Are Going For The Project MC Squared Look For Her If You've Heard Of It As A Series. You Know, Smart Is The New Cool.
I should mention that all three of the Equestria Girls Magic series (which is what I'm calling it) are part of a continuing story.

Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. Thanks for the support.

If it makes you feel any better the 3rd one, Mirror Magic, has butt loads of magic involved.
It's a cute little special but I can get what your saying. I saw the other specials it's gets better later on

Also one good thing is they didn't flanderise Rarity's character this time.
Really??? You gave it 2.5/5?? That's pretty mediocre. I think the episode was great. It's my personal favorite EG specials. I gave it 4/5
Trust me, the other two are better.
